What Is The Feats Of Bravery Quest?
The Feats of Bravery is the intro quest for the Destiny 2 Into the Light update given by Lord Shaxx, which familiarizes players with the brand-new Brave weapons and their ‘shiny’ variants.
While you can get the normal variants, I’d still recommend completing this quest to unlock other Brave weapon bounties/quests from Archite 99-40, the quartermaster robot next to Shaxx in the Hall of Champions.
These shiny Brave weapons will drop with a fixed roll, but after which, you can attune them via the hologram statues of Shaxx to boost their drop rate in the Onslaught activity. Now, with the overview of the quest out of the way, I’ll briefly discuss most of the major steps in this quest and how to complete them since a minor portion is pretty self-explanatory.
- The Destiny 2 Feats of Bravery quest is exclusive to the Into the Light update with Season 23.
- The Feats of Bravery quest is essentially a tutorial to introduce players to the Brave weapons and the Onslaught activity.
- Most objectives are simple, but the only headache might be the Brave weapon quests due to their amount of enemies defeated requirements.
1. Reach Power Level 1810 And Complete A Run Of Onslaught
- Objectives: The first two steps in this quest require you to be Power Level 1810, along with completing a run of the new matchmade activity of the Into The Light update, Onslaught.
If you’re returning to the game after a while or taking a break, you can quickly power up to Level 1810 by claiming gear from the Gift of the Thunder Gods chest next to Shaxx. This chest also includes a free Thunderlord, which is one of the best Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2.
Meanwhile, the Onslaught activity, at least on Normal difficulty, is pretty easy; it’s just a wave-based mode where you must defend the ADU machinery from being destroyed by two other Guardians. The Best Builds can make all the difference here, plus weapons such as the Sunshot, Graviton Lance, and Commemoration work greatly here.
2. Return To Shaxx And Open Your First Brave Chest
- Objectives: Steps 3, 4, and 5 revolve around talking to Shaxx as he’ll reward you with the Trophy of Bravery currency to unlock your first normal variant Brave weapon from the chest next to him.
Remember that you can get any weapon from the Brave weapon chest by spending 10 Trophies of Bravery, so these three steps are primarily there to introduce you to the chest if you want to get weapons from there instead of farming Onslaught. However, if you still want the best rolls possible, then I strongly urge you to farm the shiny variants via the Legend difficulty Onslaught.
3. Complete Stranger Danger For Elsie’s Rifle
- Objectives: The last two steps require you to accept and finish the ‘Stranger Danger’ quest from Archite 99-40, which will reward you with the curated rolled and shiny variant of Elsie’s Rifle.
After acquiring the Brave weapon from the chest, Shaxx will now require you to complete a specific Brave Weapon quest from Archite 99-40 called the ‘Stranger Danger’ for Elsie’s Rifle. The quest offers two different methods to complete it: either precision damage kills throughout the system or kills in Vanguard playlists with bonus progression from Nightfalls.
- My Suggestion: I grabbed a checkpoint of the Shuro Chi raid boss from the Last Wish raid by heading to the Destiny2Checkpoint website. It can be tiring to wait and join the AFK Bot’s fireteam, but alternatively, you can also farm high-difficulty Nightfalls to complete this quest; in the end, it’s your preference here.
- Quest Completed: Once done, head back to Shaxx, turn in, and complete the Feats of Bravery quest, and you should now be able to choose the other Brave weapon quests from Archite 99-40.
- Attunement: You can also attune Elsie’s Rifle to a hologram statue to increase its drop rate from the Onslaught activity.
