In Palworld, the Cattiva is a common neutral Pal player encounter early-game. This Pal proves valuable in the early stages, aiding in collecting stones and ore. Additionally, having a Cattiva in your party enhances your inventory capacity.

His other Work Suitabilities make Cattiva best in the early game, allowing him to transport the resources he has mined. And with its Handiwork and Gathering work suitability, I had more room for other pals in my base.

  • Available in Early-game.
  • Increases inventory capacity.
  • Efficient transportation work.
  • Supports diverse work tasks.
  • Easy to capture.
  • Limited combat capabilities.
  • Low overall skill levels.
  • Specialized for early-game.

It is not only the best at mining; I believe Penking is the best Pal you can get for your growing base. After you’ve leveled up a bit, you can go and fight Penking in Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings, who’s Lv15. You can also find it roaming around on a deserted land on the bottom right of the map.

What makes it best for early-game is his other work suitability, which is all Lv2. He can mine and transport resources right away, water your farm, and do some of the handiwork.

  • Multiple Work Suitability.
  • Early-Game Availability.
  • Resource Transport Capability.
  • Found as a boss.
  • Low chances of capturing in early-game.

Anubis

This Ground Pal is well-suited for various tasks, and it has Mining Lv3. Acquiring Anubis was challenging for me, given its location in the harsh desert and its status as an Alpha Pal. However, I have found the rewards worth the hassle.

Anubis goes beyond mining, proving helpful in handiwork and material transportation, making it a highly effective member for a base centered around mining activities.

  • Multiple Work Suitability.
  • Ideal for mining-centric bases.
  • Great for defending bases.
  • High attack damage.
  • Found as a boss.
  • Low chances of capturing.

Astegon

Best Miner In Late-Game

Handiwork Lv1

I use Astegon exclusively for mining. With Astegon’s Mining Lv4, he can collect resources much faster than any other pal. Even though he has Lv1 Handiwork, it’s practically useless at that point of the game when you’ve got better pals for it.

You will have to keep assigning him to mine if he goes off to do some handiwork automatically.

  • Highest Mining Level.
  • Fast Resource Collection.
  • High attack damage.
  • ldeal for defending bases.
  • Found as a boss.
  • There are very low chances of capturing.
  • Only good for mining.

My Thoughts

Moving on to the late game, you will realize that mining ores is where your pals would be most focused, and I think Astegon perfectly fulfills that role in Palworld. With ores being that important, you should look for the best bases in Palworld that are made for farming ores. Furthermore, read the Best Electric Pals to Counter Water Pals.
