How Does Hot Bar Work

1. Accessing Quick Slots:
   • Press and hold the “I” button to open the Quick Slot or Hot Bar Menu.

   • Open your inventory by pressing “I” and selecting the backpack icon.
   • View all items in your backpack and select the ones you want to assign to quick slots.
   • Some items can be placed on hotkeys for quick access, but not all items are eligible.
3. Using Hotkeys:
   • Once items are assigned to quick slots, you can access them quickly during gameplay.
   • Press the corresponding hotkey to equip or use the item assigned to that slot.
   • Keep in mind that only one weapon can be assigned to a hotkey at a time.
4. Managing Inventory:
   • You can remove items from quick slots by accessing your unfolded backpack and selecting alternative items.
   • Be cautious when accessing hotkeys and quick slots repeatedly, as excessive use may lead to game glitches or crashes.

Customizing The Hot Keys 

The backpack in Sons of the Forest works just like how an actual hot bar system will. Instead of holding all your inventory, it will allow you access to certain items that you select.

We recommend putting them into weapons as well as some healing items, as they will help you the most during combat. It is important to prepare your backpack or quick slots before you enter a fight. To do that, you need to follow the steps below. 

• Open your inventory and select your backpack. 
• Select the desired item you want to add to your bag and right-click on it.
