Using The Unhinged Mode In Warzone 2

At first, players in Warzone 2 thought of the unhinged mode as simply for trios. However, the mode has a lot more to offer than that. On the surface, the game is just like the normal battle royale game having a total of 150 players on Al Mazrah following the ruleset of the battle royale. However, the addition in the mode is the assimilation feature.

If you don’t know what that means then don’t worry. The unhinged mode will take you to Al Mazrah as a trio but you can add more members to your squad. There must have been times when your squad was against one person and they gave up. In times like those, players want the enemy to be on their team but that was impossible until now. Now, you can convince an enemy that you are not there to hurt them and that you want them on their side.

The best method of using the unhinged mode to get opponents in your squad is to use the proximity chat. However, the most difficult part is making the first communication. Both of the teams don’t know the intention of one other. Once you are able to assimilate with the opponent, there is no option of backing out. Moreover, you don’t need to worry as the friendly fire is disabled on the teammates who are temporary.

The best thing about the unhinged mode is probably the fact that you can get up to six players on your team. Imagine six members fighting against one opponent or even a trio. The flanking possibilities and the ability to surround the enemy are too much.

How To Get Players On Your Team

Now that you know that you can get up to six members in a team, it is time to know how you can do it. The first thing that you can do is use the proximity chat so players treat you in a friendly way. Some players have their proximity chat not working or have it off. So, make sure you fix it or double check it before entering a game.

You should not expect the players to treat you with kindness. The battleground is the same as in a normal game and it can be hard to find even one additional partner. Do not approach the opponents in such a way that makes you vulnerable. Otherwise, they will definitely take advantage of you. While using the proximity chat, let them know that you are friendly and you are looking for some fun.

Communicating effectively will definitely get you more players on the team. So, make sure you cut the rudeness and vagueness. Moreover, you will need to stack up cash and as many things as possible in your backpack. Players might hesitate to join your team. When that happens, let them know what you have in order to lure them into your team.

Let’s not forget that a lot of players find the proximity chat very annoying and so they tend to turn it off. If you are near a player who has no idea that you are using the mic then your communication will be of no use. Therefore, there is another way to get them on your side and that is the universal friendly gaming gesture: crouching.

Although it may seem foolish to crouch in front of opponents who may just kill you, but there’s no harm in trying. Almost every traditional gamer who respects the crouching will take you as a friendly player and will decide to join your squad.

However, the proximity chat and crouching are informal invitations. You can use these to invite opponents for joining your team. But, not all players will be able to understand your message. Therefore, the unhinged trios mode has its own addition to the game. Through it, you can ask other opponents in a formal way to join your team or invite you to theirs.

For that, you will need to hold the ping button which is the d-pad up for controller settings, and the alt key on the keyboard at default settings. Once you see the tactical ping wheel, you will find some new additions. Note that these additions are only for the unhinged trios mode.

The first option is on the right in which you can invite nearby players to join your squad. The second option is right below it and you can use it for requesting a nearby enemy squad to let you in their squad. Don’t consider both of these options to be the same. These should be used only when the situation requires you to do so.

If you or your teammates spot only one or two opponents roaming nearby, use the first option which is to invite. However, if your teammates die on the battleground and face defeat in the gulag then you will be vulnerable. Not only will you be vulnerable to a trio but to a squad having up to six members in it. Therefore, the wise option will be to use the second option and joining up a team before facing defeat.

Final Words

All in all, the unhinged trios is a new fun mode in COD Warzone 2. It makes a player think deeply before taking any shot. You might get betrayed early on but don’t lose any hope. There will be some players who will join your team eagerly. Lastly, make sure you play as a team after joining them and provide anything that is required by any member of the team.
