During a YouTube live stream on December 7, Destiny responded to IShowSpeed’s encounter with an Asian man. The man was wearing an Argentina jersey during Portugal vs. Switzerland game. The match was held on the 6th of December, 2022.

Destiny stated that he did not recognize the streamer and expressed his opinion saying, “I don’t even know who these streamers are. I’m not going to lie. Is this the Kai Cenat guy? Oh, this is the Speed guy. Okay. There’s this like, a whole new legion of like Black zoomer streamers.”

Destiny’s statements surprised xQc in his recent live stream, who responded by arguing that the latter’s classification of content creators was less than ideal.

Félix Lengyel, better known as xQc or xQcOW, is a Canadian Twitch streamer, internet personality, and former professional Overwatch player, commented on YouTube streamer Steven “Destiny’s” controversial view after watching a clip of IShowSpeed at the FIFA World Cup.

During Kai’s live stream, the 17-year-old chatted with a Chinese man and questioned why he was wearing an Argentina jersey. When the man appeared perplexed by the inquiry, the streamer replied in Japanese, “Konnichiwa.”

The incident went viral on social networks, and on December 7, 2022, IShowSpeed came to Twitter to respond to the racist claims and apologize to the Asian community.

Felix came across a post on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit in which Steven commented on IShowSpeed apparently uttering something offensive during his World Cup live stream.

After hearing Destiny’s statements on “Black zoomer streamers,” xQc called out the political commentator, adding, “That’s short-sighted, generalizing.”

xQc was caught off guard by Destiny’s remarks and retorted by alleging that the latter’s classification of content creators was incorrect. Destiny’s viewpoints were also labeled as “short-sighted” by the streamer. He went on to express his dissatisfaction with the outcome.
