Our Original Report Below:

Sources have confirmed that Apex Legends Mobile is due to release on May 17th, with an announcement due this week.

Key details on the game have already been revealed by @AlphaIntel on Twitter, which includes:

  • 10 Legends at launch
  • Built for mobile ‘from the ground up’
  • Classic World’s Edge and Kings Canyon
  • Ranked Play and Mobile-exclusive modes
In addition to these details, I’ve learned that 9 of these details will be from the original Apex Legends, with the 10th Legend being exclusive to Apex Legends Mobile.

The Apex Legends Mobile exclusive legend is called Fade, also known as the “Phasing Punisher.”

  • Passive – Slipstream – You can gain a short movement speed boost at the end of the slide.
  • Tactical – Flash Back – Go back to where you were a while ago from the Void.
  • Ultimate – Phase Chamber – Release a phase cage to send all Legends within range into the Void.
Images sent of Fade show off a red and silver armored soldier with gold highlights. His mask resembles that of a skull to some degree (with red armor on his forehead and cheeks), and although this description seems to indicate the character looks like Apex Legends’ revenant, Fade is quite different.

He is almost definitely human and has some unique characteristics to his armor which I can only assume ties into his “Void” abilities.

It’s expected that we’ll be getting more insight into Fade’s background in the coming days.

The other nine Legends coming to Apex Legends Mobile will be:
  • Gibraltar
  • Caustic
  • Lifeline
  • Bangalore
  • Mirage
  • Pathfinder
  • Octane
  • Wraith
  • Bloodhound

Apex Legends mobile has been in development for the past two years, with over 10 million players already pre-registering for the game since its announcement.

Apex Legends Mobile will launch on iOS and Android on May 17th, 2022.
