Story Highlights
- Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the next iteration in the iconic Dragon’s Dogma JRPG franchise by Capcom.
- The game just got a new Vocation reveal, the Magick Archer which is a modified version of the Archer.
- A swath of other Vocations have been revealed up until now, including the Warrior, Sorcerer, and Fighter.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is measuring up to be one of the highlights of the year with how thrilling it already looks, and it seems Capcom is showing no signs of slowing down on the spotlight front. A new trailer goes over another Vocation that’s going to be a part of the game, the Magick Archer—a modified version of the normal Archer who specializes in ranged combat.
It’s clear to me that the Magick Archer will be much easier (and more fun) to use as compared to its base counterpart, given how players won’t have to rely on making accurate shots to deal hefty damage. In the trailer, the shots seem to be locking onto the enemy, with some moves coming across as more powerful than the others.
Available only to the Arisen, the Magick Archer vocation excels in long-range combat with their magickal arrows. In addition to attacking or healing, Magick Archers are also adept at supporting their allies. They can learn a custom skill that unleashes a devastating attack over a wide area, in exchange for reducing their own maximum HP,” describes Capcom.
Oh, and this isn’t quite it for those who love magic-based characters in their RPGs. Dragon’s Dogma 2 revealed another Vocation for such players in recent times, and a fairly powerful one as well—the Sorcerer. Coming off as a major step up from the Mage Vocation, the Sorcerer boasts the ability to combine their attacks with other Sorcerers, wreaking nothing but havoc in the wake of it.
