The distribution for the PS5®/PS4® Asia regional version will be on Feb 5."

Story Highlights

  • Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a new JRPG by Cygames and the next installment in the Granblue Fantasy series.
  • The title has just received a new update following its early February launch, boasting new changes.
  • The update v.1.0.4 mainly revolves around applying the changes to the game that came out previously.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is another proponent of the whole “2024 is the year of the JRPGs” notion, joining the ranks among the likes of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and plenty more that this year has to offer. A new patch rolled out for the title by developer Cygames has been brought to light, with update v.1.0.4 making an array of changes and squashing bugs in the process.

The ver. 1.0.4 update applies various changes listed below. Players who have purchased the disc version are strongly encouraged to download and install this latest update. The distribution for the PS5®/PS4® Asia regional version will be on Feb 5,” reads the announcement of the latest update.

The gist of it is that the title mainly tends to some of the bugs that players have encountered so far during their respective playthroughs and have gone on to report them to the dev, such as certain technical glitches that made the Steam version of the title fairly buggy. For reference, here is a rundown of the new changes that Cygames has incorporated in the latest updated version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

  • [Battles] Fixed a bug where pressing the guard button in succession made it easier to trigger a perfect guard.
  • [Quests] Fixed a rare bug where rewards weren’t given when unlocking new quest difficulties.
  • [Side Quests] Fixed a bug where rewards weren’t given when playing on Ultimate difficulty.
  • [Online] Fixed certain issues with matchmaking.
  • [System] Introduced measures to mitigate bugs that are preventing the Steam version of the game from running properly. We are continuing to work diligently to address and fix the cause of these bugs.
  • [Misc.] Various bug fixes.

Aside from that, the issue of missing rewards has been sorted as well, with the items that were nowhere to be found previously now being made available at Siero’s Knickknack Shack. These include those who “were unable to get their rewards for unlocking new quest difficulties or clearing certain side quest.”
