Helldivers 2 Studio CEO Claims Sony Is “Being Really Supportive” Over Server Issues

Helldivers 2 Studio CEO Johan Pilestedt claimed on Twitter that Sony is “being really supportive” over the server capacity issues experienced by the entry. The title has spiked in surges of unexpected fame since its release, which has made it difficult for the servers to keep up with the increasing number of players. However, the creative director acknowledged that the backend engineers have worked extremely hard to tackle down the issues.

As a result, he gave a massive shoutout to the devs for resolving the server issues while utilizing the resources provided by Sony and other partners, such as Azure, Playfab, Steam, and more. However, the Helldivers 2 creative director also addressed the act of over-hiring and then firing the devs after a user brought up the matter. Johan has spoken against the practice and offered short term solutions, such as outsourcing, contractors, and more.
