Layers of Fear patch 1.3 has gone live, bringing several fixes related to the achievement system, voice-over, lighting, animation and more. An HDR calibration for consoles and changes from the previous PC patch has also been added. The PS5 controller will also receive an upgrade with more events with vibrations. Among many other things, widescreen support for PC has also been added.

The main focus of this patch seems to be various fixes; sounds and audio issues have been fixed in the DLC Mother. Animation and lighting have been fixed in LoF1. Gameplay with the flashlight has also been fixed in LoF2, along with additional mannequin interactions. Some missing voice-over lines have been added, and changes to the fonts and corrections of language versions have also been implemented.

A new easter egg has been added, and there seem to be more bug fixes, but the specific details on them have not been given. Even so, it appears that a few players are still experiencing some common bugs and glitches, like being unable to pick up a note. One Twitter user has complained of a glitch that is halting their progress.

I keep trying to open up the safe in part two and every time I grab the dial the picture disappears there’s a bad glitch with this section please look into it ASAP,” says Console Gamer.

It is safe to say that there is still some work that needs to be done to improve the game’s condition. Layers of Fear is a psychological horror adventure game developed by Bloober Team and published by Aspyr. It was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Linux on February 16, 2016. It was later released on Nintendo Switch on February 21, 2018.
