Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s 3D Advertising Goes Live As Game Nears Its Release

The 3D billboards have been spotted in New York City and Los Angeles so far.

Story Highlights

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is gearing up to make landfall later this month, and anticipation for this game is just through the roof at the moment.
  • The game is a direct successor to the 2018-released Marvel’s Spider-Man, which launched exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
  • Upscaling the game’s marketing, PlayStation has brought Spider-Man 2 to the face of 3D billboards in different parts of the US, thereby generating even more hype for the title.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is measuring up to be one of the biggest releases this year, and with the level of quality on display by Insomniac Games through the first Spider-Man, fans sure know what to expect. Attempting to garner an even bigger fan base for the forthcoming title, PlayStation is apparently marketing Spider-Man 2 on 3D billboards in different parts of the US, as spotted below.

The official Marvel Games X (formerly Twitter) account says that these adverts were located in Los Angeles and New York City, with the latter being where the game actually takes place in, and the birthplace of Peter Parker himself. The high-end billboard seems to be playing the “Be Greater. Together” trailer of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which PlayStation uploaded online a little over a week ago.

However, the ending sequence showcased in the billboard is different compared to the original trailer. The promotion sees Venom sticking his overly long tongue out, followed by the two Spider-Men taking center stage, with both of these sequences applying a 3D effect for passersby. The advertisement is certainly next-level, and so are anticipations for the upcoming action adventure.
