The Silent Hill 2 remake has finally started getting ratings. As spotted by Twitter user Lost in Silent Hill, it has recently been rated in South Korea by the Korean Rating Committee Board GRAC. The rating mentions that it is not suitable for youth because of elements like “excessive expressions of violence,” and “disfigurement.” However, that is to be expected if the remake follows in the footsteps of the original gory entry.

The rating also suggests that a release date announcement could be around the corner and the development may have finally been completed by the devs. A game is often rated close to its completion since the team would not make significant changes after the classification is finalized. Additionally, an update last month suggested that the remake had entered into the “final stages of development.”

A Lot Of Expectations Are Riding On The Silent Hill 2 Remake

There is a lot of burden on the devs at Bloober to nail every nook and cranny of the remake. The original is hailed as among the best horror survival entries to ever be released. So, a notable decline in quality will likely implode the remake in itself. Unfortunately, the recent combat trailer failed to capture the essence that the fans are looking for. However, the CEO has acknowledged that flawed footage does not reflect the game’s spirit.
