Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Game Will Be a Day One Xbox Game Pass Title

Not the type of game people would expect

When people think of basketball games, the inclination is usually towards the high-grossing NBA 2K series. However, there’s another contender that’s supposed to fall in the same genre but is something entirely different. The first Space Jam movie came out in 1996 and was soon released as a video game too for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and DOS.

The creators have decided to repeat what they did 25 years ago, by dropping a new movie and a game at around about the same time. Space Jam: A New Legacy is to hit shelves on July 10 and the game is set to follow suit 5 days later. However, adding to the release is a brand-new leak by the one and only Microsoft Store that Space Jam: A New Legacy – The Game “will be available first on Game Pass Ultimate.”

There’s quite the artistic background to this game as Xbox writes in the description of the title. At the end of 2020, the developers reached out to the community and asked for ideas for this game. Thereafter, Xbox and the Digital Eclipse studio picked two winners from the whole bunch and incorporated their thoughts in the space-set video game.

Anyhow, since the game will be free-to-play for Game Pass subscribers, it’s all the more reason now to give the game a go.
