Suicide Squad’s New Trailer “Fit Check” Showcases Deluxe Edition Bonuses

Early access, goofy costumes, and more await you ahead.

Story Highlights

  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live service shooter that’s releasing early next month.
  • The game has recently received a new trailer that highlights its Deluxe Edition’s extra content.
  • Pre-orders for the title are live and come with bonuses for each purchasable edition of the game.

With Rocksteady formally continuing the Batman: Arkham franchise in the name of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice, we have a live service shooter at our disposal with what appears to be a strong focus on narration and story as well. Suppose you’re thinking of pre-ordering the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition ahead of its early February release. In that case, the following trailer, which was just released by the way, should visually highlight what to expect.

First off, there’s an uncanny selection of bonus costumes for the squad that are certain to make even the Justice League quiver in awe. Titled “Fit Check,” the trailer shows us how it would look if King Shark, Harley, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot were all to grab a piece of Superman’s, Wonder Woman’s, Flash’s, and Batman’s clothing. The result is, well, not particularly eye candy.

Next, there’s the major 72-hour early access period add-on that I’m sure several are going to dive right into. Early access means you get to play the game before its global release date, and in Suicide Squad Deluxe Edition’s case, the availability begins 3 days prior. And outside of that type of convenience, expect specialized weapons to be handed to you on a plate as part of your Deluxe Edition purchase, namely the equipment of the notorious Black Mask.

That means a weapon for each member of the Suicide Squad, and going along with that are gold-colored squad dolls that dangle from the side of your firearms. The trailer also mentions that players will receive a Battle Pass token as well, though it’s not clear yet what the contents of the Battle Pass are going to be, given Rocksteady hasn’t put out any official information about it yet.

There is other stuff too that the Deluxe variant of the game entails, such as the “No Shade” color swatches, so if you mean to take a closer look, head over to the Purchase page on the official website of the title for more information. Do note that the early access feature only comes with the Deluxe Edition, not the Standard one.

On a side note, Rocksteady recently unveiled a 2024 roadmap plan for supporting its latest venture, and tell you what, it’s chock-full of free content. Starting with the arrival of an Elseworlds Joker in March, there is a ton of stuff that players can look forward to all year, including more playable environments, additional playable characters, extra story chapters, and more.

Suicide Squad has a release date of February 2, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game was first announced at DC Fandome 2021 and is set to feature Kevin Conroy’s Batman posthumously.
