Smash Remix Version 1.2.0 Brings Sheik, Mario Kart Stages, And More

The recent update brings new characters, mods, and items to the Super Smash Bros. mod on the Nintendo 64.

Fighting games are always good fun and have been a big part of gaming culture since the beginning. Not only are they good couch multiplayer, but they also hold highly competitive e-Sports tournaments. Probably the most popular fighting game of the last few years is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The game is from the already popular Super Smash Bros. series, which is Nintendo’s flagship fighting title. It came out in 2018 and instantly became a smash hit on the Nintendo Switch. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was a huge cultural phenomenon and has sold nearly 28 million copies as of March 2022.

However, this success has been a long-running theme for the franchise as most Super Smash Bros. have been a success. The first one was no different, and it even has a gameplay modification currently working on the Nintendo 64. Smash Remix is the name of this modified version, and it recently got a new update.

Smash Remix released its update Version 1.2.0 on the Nintendo 64 just recently, and it adds a lot of new things. The mod announced the release of this update through a tweet on its official account on Twitter and also made a download link available. Hence, if you wanna play it, just get a Nintendo 64 emulator and enjoy.

Version 1.2.0 of the Smash Remix adds a brand new character to the mod, among other things. You can now play as Sheik from The Legend of Zelda franchise, and it will be the first appearance for her on a Nintendo 64 Super Smash Bros. installment. Although it is a bit weird to add the character without adding Zelda, the person Sheik actually is, it’s still a decent addition.

Some new stages are also coming to Smash Remix through this update. Mario Kart Stages will now be playable in the game mod, and they seem really amusing. The team added these stages after a vote was held, and Mario Kart was the clear winner.

A host of other features have also been added to the game in Version 1.2.0. Players can now play the one-player mode in Smash Remix and practice to become better in the game. You can also play a very entertaining new mode, a two-player enemy mode, and it looks swell.

Other new features include several camera modes, like fixed, scene, and bonus. Player tags are also available in the game now, so playing with friends will be even better. Much more has now become a part of Smash Remix through this update, and you can try it out for yourself.
