The community surrounding the Sonic The Hedgehog series is still going finding news fanciers, with Sonic games dominating all popular consoles and devices. Moreover, Sonic Origins will include “new areas to explore, additional animations, and a brand new Anniversary mode,” which incorporates “unlimited lives and revamped fullscreen resolution.” The leak also cites added “content, challenges, and Special Stages” to unlock and explore and includes new animated opening and closing cutscenes for each game.
For fanciers of physical media, it looks like Sonic Origins will also come with a full boxed release. The PSN listing hails that owners of a PS4 disc can upgrade to the PS5 version of the game, deeply indicating that a Switch boxed release will release alongside.
