Diablo 4 has a big map, and no one wants to keep walking on foot as it is both tedious and tiring. Therefore, I recommend knowing about how to get a mount in Diablo 4, which is basically a horse. With a mount, you can cover more land in a shorter period.
- To acquire the first mount in Diablo 4, complete the Donan’s Favor Quest in Act 4.
- Follow these steps: Find Donan, return to the Stable Master, and finish the quest to unlock the mount.
- Access the Stable and obtain the Old Nell Steed.
- The stable allows players to equip, select, and purchase mounts.
- Diablo 4 features a total of 32 mounts, each with a unique unlocking method.
- Customize mounts using Mount Trophies (47 total) and Mount Bardings (42 total).
- There are seven mount skills, two universal and five exclusive to specific classes.
Quest To Get A Mount In Diablo 4
During your journey, you may get hints on getting a horse in Diablo 4. However, you will not be able to get one until you have completed half of the story. Once you reach Act 4 of Diablo 4, you will come across Donan’s Favor Quest found in Kyovashad. To complete the quest, you will need to:
- Find Donan, who seems to be an important NPC.
- Go back to the Stable Master.
- Finish the Quest and unlock your first mount.
If you ask me, the Mount you get from the quest is a pretty basic one. However, you can get more after it, so it’s worth it.
Method Of Unlocking Each Mount
For each mount, there is a different approach when it comes to unlocking them.
Therefore, here’s how you can get each mount:

It is important to know that cosmetics do not affect the gameplay in any way. Therefore, you have the freedom to select any type of Mount Trophie or Mount Bardings. There are a total of forty-seven Mount Trophies and forty-two Mount Bardings in Diablo 4. However, you need to take an extra step in unlocking these cosmetics.
