MW3: Best Sniper Rifles To Use In Multiplayer [Top 3]
I have spent around 50 hours in Modern Warfare 3 so here is my recommendation for the top-tier sniper rifles.

3- SP-X 80
To unlock SP-X 80, you must get the LA-B 330 first and level it up to 18. While there is so much grinding to do to unlock the weapons, I think it is worth it, as the weapon is really great. It is basically a superior version of LA-B 330, so it does everything better than that weapon.
Also, do not forget that it is a great weapon for quick scoping. So, if you haven’t unlocked the FJX Imperium yet, make sure to give it a try.
- Great damage, handling, and fire rate.
- Good for quickscoping.
- Poor mobility.
- Why I Chose This: Sp-X 80 requires some effort to unlock, but in the game, I had a great experience with it.
The following is the best sniper loadout for SP-X 80:
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90
- Optic: Signal 50 8x
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
- Stock: Max DMR Precision
- Bolt: ZLR Reinforced Lockbolt
The following is the best sniper class setup for SP-X 80:
- Perks: Overkill, Marksman, Covert Sneakers, and Threat Identification System.
- Equipment: Proximity Mine and Smoke Grenade.
2- Longbow
One of the best snipers for quick scoping in Modern Warfare 3 is arguably Longbow. The sniper can be unlocked at level 25, or it would already unlocked for you if you bought the Vault Edition. It is arguably a great sniper that is good at almost everything.
It is a must-try weapon in Modern Warfare 3, so make sure to give it a try as soon as you reach level 25. Also, Longbow has the best recoil control in MW3.
- Every stat is well-balanced.
- Provides 30 rounds.
- It has no cons.
- Why I Chose This: Longbow is my favorite sniper in MW3 due to its great stat allocation and combat domination.
The following is the best loadout for Longbow:
- Barrel: Pro-99 Long Barrel
- Underbarrel: XTEN TX-12 Handstop
- Stock: Stockless
- Muzzle: HMRES Mod Suppressor
- Rear Grip: Citadel LV Tactical Grip
The following is the best sniper setup with Longbow:
- Perks: Infantry Vest, Commando Gloves, Covert Sneakers, and Ghost T/V Camo.
- Equipment: Semtex and Battle Rage.
1- FJX Imperium
Hands down, the best sniper in MW3 is FJX Imperium. You need to reach level 55 to unlock the weapon, but it is worth the grind. It is arguably the best quick-scope sniper, so ensure the best class setup. It has extremely high damage that one-shot the opponents, and the point-blank hits feel are so satisfying.
Every other stat is pretty balanced, too, so I highly recommend trying out the weapon. The other sniper rifles are great, but FJX Imperium is in a league of its own, especially when quick scoping, making it the best quicksope sniper.

- A little difficult to handle.
- Why I Chose This: I added FJX Imperium to the list because it simply dominates the combat and allows flexibility in quick scoping.
The following is the best sniper loadout for FJX Imperium:
- Ammunition: .408 Explosive
- Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
- Underbarrel: Field-Wrapped Handle
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90
- Rear Grip: Skull-40
The following is the best setup with FJX Imperium:
- Perks: Overkill Vest, Quick-Grip Gloves, Lightweight Boots, and Bone Conduction Headset.
- Equipment: Semtex and Stun/Frag Grenade.
Why We Didn’t Go For Others
While there are many other good Snipers in Modern Warfare 3, I chose not to include them in the guide because of different reasons:
- LA-B 330: This sniper has one of the worst rates of fire and has a low amount of damage.
- Victus XMR: This gun has low ADS speed and low magazine capacity which makes it a bad pick in Multiplayer.
My Opinion On The Best Sniper
I think FJX Imperium is the best sniper in Modern Warfare 3.
FJX Imperium has great damage, and all other stats are pretty well-balanced, which makes it the perfect sniper. Also, for those who love quick scoping in MW3, it is the best choice.
