How To Solve The Defiled Temple Puzzle

Once you have reached the puzzle location, as shown in the image above. There are actually two methods available to progress forward. One is to actually solve the puzzle, while the other is to simply skip it through a specific action. Here, I will be listing both methods.

Even if you decide to solve the puzzle, it shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes because it is incredibly simple and straightforward. Players only need to rotate the moon plates in such a way that the bottom plate, facing the entrance, has all the black dots, as shown in the image above.

Allow me to list the order in which you are supposed to rotate these disks so you can solve this puzzle as soon as possible. While facing the bottom plate, simply follow the steps I have mentioned below:

  1. Rotate the bottom plate once.
  2. Rotate the right plate.
  3. Rotate the bottom plate again.
  4. Rotate the top plate.
  5. Rotate the right plate.

And with that, the door should unlock, allowing you to progress further.

Can You Skip The Defiled Temple Puzzle?

Important: Skipping the Temple puzzle is only possible if players have a high Perception check.
Once you move your party to the north end of the room, one of your companions will notice a lever, provided that you have enough Perception. Right-click on the lever and select “Lockpick.” A DC 15 Sleight of Hand is required for successfully lockpicking this lever. If you are successful, then the door will open, and you can progress ahead.
