Best Ways To Get Mastery Seals
Here is a list of all the methods that you can use to get mastery seals;

1. Completing Mastery Challenges
This is probably the best method to get your hands on as many mastery seals as possible. However, you’ll need to complete these small mastery challenges, which are unlocked after completing the tutorial mission. Most of these missions are really easy, and you can keep tracking them through the goals tab.
These challenges range from using all types of runic attacks for all weapons to using all types of Spartan Rage inside Valhalla. I was able to complete most of these challenges without even noticing because they were just so straightforward and related to combat.
2. Completing Labors
Now, these labors are not as rewarding as the mastery challenges in terms of giving mastery seals. But these are actually easier to complete and mostly get completed without even paying attention. Most of these labors range from using different types of special attacks of each weapon to killing different types of enemies inside Valhalla. In my opinion, even though the mastery seal gain is low, it still counts in the long run.
3. Killing Valhalla’s Chosen
Valhalla’s Chosen are the mini-bosses that you face before fighting the main boss of the Norse Realms inside Valhalla. Basically, killing a chosen will give you the chance to fight the first main boss which will then allow you to ascend the realms. Try to stay alive until you can fight the Valhalla’s Chosen in each run.
Killing Valhalla’s Chosen can net a lot of mastery seals, especially if you get the upgrade in my opinion, which increases the amount the mastery seals obtained from killing these enemies. This upgrade is available at the Tablet of Influence, which can be found before entering Valhalla.
4. Opening Treasure Chests
Inside the various sanctuaries of Valhalla, you will mostly come across these small treasure chests, as shown in the image above. Make sure that you do not run past these chests when you see one. These are almost guaranteed to reward you with mastery seals, which was what happened in most of my playthroughs. Each drop counts, and you need to collect mastery seals from as many sources as you can in order to get maximum upgrades.
5. Destroying Pots
This method nets the least number of mastery seals, but each mastery seal will matter in the long run. Pots are scattered around the various sanctuaries in the Norse Realms as well as the Colosseum in Greece. Some of these pots will actually have purple light coming out of them.
Make sure to break these pots as soon as you see them because they are guaranteed to contain mastery seals. You can also get the upgrade, which increases your chances of getting mastery seals from pots. I know that the method seems grindy, but in my experience, every single piece of mastery seal contributes to getting maximum upgrades.
6. Converting Spirit Seals
You can actually convert spirit seals to mastery seals at the Tablet of Reflection, but this is actually an end-game method that unlocks after you’re done with the main story of Valhalla. For every 150 spirit seals, you will be able to get 50 mastery seals at the Tablet of Reflection.
Take on the all-new rogue-like mode with your favorite build in GOW Ragnarok. You can even start Valhalla DLC without playing the main story. Staying alive for as long as possible is the main goal, so you’ll need more health in the roguelike mode as well.
