MW3: Best TYR Loadout & Class Setup

After 60+ hours of gameplay, this is my take on the best loadout and class setup for TYR.

Modern Warfare 3 provides a variety of pistols, one of which is TYR. Despite its aggressive recoil, skilled players still need its best loadout and class setup in MW3. TYR will be a devastating choice against your enemies at close range when combined with the best loadout.

Key Takeaways
  • TYR is a great option to dominate close-range enemies with a stable recoil.
  • ZIU-16 Heavy Long Barrel and 12.7x55mm High Grain Rounds attachments enhance TYR’s recoil, damage range, and bullet velocity.
  • Akimbo TYR in rear grip gives dual efficiency and reduces missed shots.
  • The class setup improves positioning and stealth movement, making it easier to sneak through enemies.
  • The disadvantage of using TYR is its fire rate compared to Renetti, which can be a great alternative.

TYR Loadout Ladout Overview

Best TYR Loadout

When deciding the best loadout for TYR, I mainly focus on attachments that increase the range, ADS speeds, aiming stability, and recoil control. I think fixing these areas will make the TYR worth using in close range.

Following is the best loadout for TYR in MW3:

  • Barrel: ZIU-16 Heavy Long Barrel
  • Ammunition: 12.7x55mm High Grain Rounds
  • Laser: FJX DIOD-70
  • Trigger Action: Ali’s Regret
  • Rear Grip: Akimbo TYR

The ZIU-16 Heavy Long barrel is an excellent attachment, enhancing damage range, bullet velocity, recoil control, and gun kick control. The 12.7x55mm High Grain Rounds will further boost damage range and bullet velocity. Adding both attachments to my loadout helped increase the weapon’s overall performance.

As mentioned, I wanted ADS speeds, and FJX DIOD-70 best serves this purpose. Also, it increases the aiming stability. With improved aiming stability, Ali’s Regret Trigger Action is a great addition to enhance the fire rate and trigger response time, which are important in a fast-paced battlefield.

The final nail in the coffin is the Akimbo TYR rear grip that doubles your gun power. This helps to increase your efficiency and reduce missed shots. I prefer these attachments as they best suit me using TYR. You can also use an Ivanov Support Brace stock, which will give more recoil control, but the ZIU-16 Heavy Long Barrel is enough.

Class Setup

SVA 545 [Screenshot Taken By Me]
After choosing the best loadout in MW3, we must pick the best perks, equipment, and secondary weapons. I opted for a class setup that best supports the loadout to get the most out of TYR in close range and mobility.

Following is the best Class Setup for TYR in MW3:

  • Vest: Infantry
  • Gloves: Commando
  • Boots: Lightweight Boots
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Field Equipment: Tactical Insertion
  • Secondary Weapon: SVA 545

Equipping the Infantry Vest is a smart move, as it prolongs the duration of your Tac Sprint and reduces its cooldown time. This choice can be instrumental in optimising your mobility during gameplay. Commando gloves will help you reload while moving, giving you a tactical advantage in fast-paced situations.

On the other hand, the lightweight Boots increase your movement speed, and the Ghost T/V Camo conceals you from radar and UAV detections. The combination of Frag and Flash Grenade helps you against hidden enemies in buildings. I have opted for Tactical Insertion in field equipment to help position against enemies.

The secondary weapon is my favourite assault rifle, the SVA 545. It comes with a unique burst capability, which allows it to fire two shots at the same time. With the fast mobility of TYR in close range and SVA 545 sudden damage, it makes a great combination in MW3.

Best TYR Alternative

Renetti [Screenshot Taken By Me]
Although TYR is a great handgun, I recommend using Renetti as an alternative. Or the WSP Stinger, as both are good in damage and fire rate. Renetti has the best damage and high accuracy, making it a great choice instead of TYR. But you can always choose a weapon that best suits your playstyle and is fun.

My Take On The TYR Loadouts

Without any debate, TYR has the best firepower and recoil control; with the best loadout and class setup, its performance can be further enhanced in MW3.

The loadout I used helped me to stabilize the recoil control, and once the recoil of any weapon gets better, it becomes the undisputed best weapon. The class setup gave me more stealth movement, and I could sneak through enemies easily. Moreover, the Tactical Insertion helped me to spawn closer to the enemies and perform surprise attacks.

This is all you need to know about TYR’s best loadout and class setup in MW3.
