Palworld: How To Cure Overfull Status [Quick Guide]

Learn about the ways to cure and potentially prevent Overfull, a status ailment that causes pals to get hungry quickly in Palworld.

Overfull is an illness that rarely occurs among pals in Palworld, where a pal will start getting hungry very quickly and consume more food when it’s active in your base. If you’re coming to my guide, you must’ve seen the “Overfull” status and “Starving” next to it on one of your base pals in the top-right corner of your screen. Fortunately, the illness is easy to cure and also easy to prevent.

Key Takeaways
  • The Overfull status ailment causes pals to get hungry quickly and eat more food in Palworld.
  • To cure the illness, players can either feed them Low-Grade Medical Supplies or place the sick pal in the Pal Box.
  • Players need a Medieval Medicine Workbench to make the Medical Supplies, which requires 5x Red Berries and 2x Horn.
  • Ways to prevent the Overfull ailment in Palworld include building a Fluffy Pal Bed and Hot Spring, regularly restocking the Feed Box, and replacing active pals with ones from the Pal Box.

There are two major ways to cure the Overfull ailment among pals – feeding them Low-Grade Medical Supplies or placing them in the Pal Box for some time to automatically cure the disease.

Placing a pal in the Pal Box is much easier, but as you’d guess, it takes more time and prevents that pal from doing any tasks. On the other hand, you can instantly cure Overfull by crafting or finding Low-Grade Medical Supplies, but this method has some requirements.

Low-Grade Medical Supplies

Medical Supplies in Palworld can be either crafted or looted from pals scattered across the map. To begin crafting Low-Grade Medical Supplies, you must first build a Medieval Medicine Workbench, which unlocks at Level 12. Another way to get Low-Grade Medical Supplies is by hunting down Medicine-based pals in the Overworld. In my experience, pals like Lifmunk and Flopie have the highest chance of dropping them.

To build the Medieval Medicine Workbench, you need:

  • 30x Wood
  • 5x Nail
  • 10x Paldium Fragment

After building the bench, open its menu and craft your Low-Grade Medical Supplies with the following materials:

  • 5x Red Berries
  • 2x Horn
Important: For more details on which type of pals to hunt for Low-Grade Medical Supplies, head to the Paldeck and examine each pal’s ‘Possible Drops.’ You can also check the Habitat section for info on where to find the pals you’re looking for.

Feeding Medicine To Pals

Now that you have your Low-Grade Medicine, you can feed it to your sick pal in two ways. The first way is to assign the pal to your main team from the Pal Box, where you can directly feed the medicine to that pal via the Inventory.

For the alternative method, I’ve listed the procedure below:

  1. Approach your sick pal and select “Open Menu.”
  2. Select the “Feed” option and click Low-Grade Medical Supplies.
  3. After a brief animation, the Overfull status will disappear from the top-right corner.

Placing Sick Pal

This method works for almost any ailment in Palworld, including Overfull. There are no requirements or any tedious steps here, and all you have to do is interact with your Pal Box and move your sick pal into the box where it can rest and heal itself.

Ways To Prevent Overfull

Overfull usually occurs when you neglect your base pals, and although it isn’t as common as other ailments like ‘Depressed’ or ‘Upset and Not Willing,’ it can quickly deplete your food resources. As such, there are several precautions you can take to prevent Overfull from becoming a recurring disease among your pals in the future.

I’ve listed some measures you can take to prevent Overfull:

  • Crafting Fluffy Pal Beds: Pals without beds can often get stressed and develop ailments quickly. As such, make sure each pal in your base has a Fluffy Pal Bed, which you can craft at Level 24.
  • Regularly Swap Pals: If you have several pals stored in your Pal Box, swap them into your base in place of your current working pals so that each pal is well-rested.
  • Restocking Feed Box: Make sure your Feed Box is filled with food supplies like Red Berries and Bread so pals at your base can automatically feed themselves, reducing chances of starvation and Overfull.
  • Building Hot Spring: Having a Hot Spring at your base is a great way to ensure your pals are always positive and working regularly. You can build a Hot Spring once you reach Level 9.

That wraps up my brief guide on ways to cure and prevent the Overfull illness in Palworld. If you’re too low-level and don’t have the items needed to get rid of the ailment, I’d suggest visiting this Steam Community Page, where you might find other ways to make your pals healthy again.
