Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Gets Discounted Again

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has been a successful venture by Ubisoft so far, having been labeled the best-looking game of 2023. And how could it have not? I mean, I’ve played it, and the game’s gorgeous—not a sliver of doubt there. The third-person shooter carries the Avatar legacy in video game format, doing a splendid job in other areas as well and not just looking pretty. If you’ve been holding back on buying it, now’s a good time.

That’s because Ubisoft just officially discounted Frontiers of Pandora by a margin of 25%. Although this is still less than what we reported about a month ago, back when the game was freshly released, the offer’s still nice to have, especially for those who’ve been meaning to try out what Pandora has to offer for action-adventure enthusiasts. Head over to the Ubisoft Store to get it for $52.49 at the time of writing, instead of the usual $69.99.

And, of course, this pricing is for the Standard Edition of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but if you’d like to get more out of the IP here, feel free to delve into the Deluxe or Gold Editions of the RPG that come with a swath of added content. That said, those aren’t on discount at the moment, so if you’d like to get them at a cheaper rate, Ubisoft+ is your best bet—the company’s flagship subscription service that boasts a catalog of Ubisoft titles.

Despite its flaws and apparent shortcomings, the game in question is an exceptionally fun time, praised for its great gunplay, superb flying mechanics, and admirable exploration. The areas where it could use some work are the combat, the narrative, and the overall mission structure. 

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora came out on December 7, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. eXputer reviewed the adventure-centric shooter and rated it 3/5, with review expert Huzaifah Durrani remarking, “Underneath its exceptional visuals and great movement system, this is still a regular old Ubisoft game with all the problems that come with.”
