BioWare Officially Announces Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

"May the Dread Wolf take you."

Just in; BioWare, the developers behind the critically acclaimed roleplaying game from 2009, Dragon Age: Origins, has recently announced that it is working on another instalment in the franchise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. After nearly 8 years since the most recent instalment, Dragon Age: Inquisition, the company has finally released details about its upcoming project.

In an official announcement made by BioWare today, the company has confirmed that it’s working on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. “Our next game now has an official name,” it states. “We know you’ve anxiously awaited new details, and today we’re excited to reveal the official title of the next adventure across the lands of Thedas—Dragon Age: Dreadwolf™.”

Earlier today, an accredited industry insider, Tom Henderson, hinted that Electronic Arts and BioWare might announce something regarding the next instalment in the Dragon Age franchise soon and it seems like that was correct.

Furthermore, BioWare also gives more details regarding the upcoming instalment, starting with who “Dread Wolf” is. “Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not,” mentions the official announcement.

“Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.”

However, this isn’t all. It seems like Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be an innovative experience that both new and acquainted players of the franchise can relish. “Whether you’re new to Dragon Age™ stories or you’ve experienced them all, using Solas’s namesake no doubt suggests a spectrum of endless possibilities on where things may go,” the company states.

“If you’re new to Dragon Age, you have no need to worry about not having met our antagonist just yet,” it further mentions. Additionally, BioWare also states that it did hint at the return of the antagonist when it announced #TheDreadWolfRises back in December 2018.

Furthermore, the company says that it will be giving out more details regarding Dragon Age: Dreadwolf later this year, and confirms that the game won’t be released this year but does suggest that the release date is close. Regardless, player

s of the franchise certainly can’t wait for this upcoming experience.
