Helldivers 2 Becomes This Year’s Current Best-Selling Title In The USA

Helldivers 2 has recently dominated to become this year’s best-selling game in the United States so far.
It has surpassed the likes of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Tekken 8, COD: MW3, and many other giants.
The game sales chart is based on dollar sales that combine digital and physical sales on all platforms.

The Executive Director and Video Game Industry Analyst at Circana, Mat Piscatella, has recently taken to Twitter to share the newly released sales charts for the USA. Arrowhead Studios’ Helldivers 2 has secured the top spot to become 2024’s current best-selling entry in the region. It has surpassed many gigantic releases, including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Tekken 8, and many more.

The chart consists of dollar sales that combine digital and physical copies on the PS5 and PC platforms. The game was also the best-selling in Europe last month, rolling over 60% of its copies on PC instead of the PS5.

Helldivers 2 Has Silently Made A Major Statement To The Gaming Industry

Arrowhead Studios has released a high-flyer that has surpassed all the set expectations in the industry. The sales have continued to soar, with an analyst estimating it has already sold over 8 million copies. The third-person shooter has also seen a steady increase in active player counts, with the last spike rising over 458,000 active players on Steam since its launch.

Helldivers 2 came out to a positive reception on February 2, 2024, for the PS5 and PC. eXputer’s Moiz Banoori gave the PvE shooter a 4.5/5 score in his detailed review, calling it “the best multiplayer game of 2024.” It excels in every aspect, ranging from “combat to the progression,” to stand as a remarkable experience.
