Elden Ring Pyromancy Build: Armor, Weapons, & Talisman

Character Attributes

An effective Pyro build will need the highest Arcane and Faith character attributes. Leveling up these two should be your primary concern, and if you’re to transition from the early-to-mid and late-game using just the pyro build, I would suggest investing in these two attributes as early as possible. Otherwise, if you’re onto another build, you can always respec using Larval Tear and fill up the stats I have listed below.

• Arcane: 40 -45
• Faith: 30-35
• Mind: 40
• Vigor: 30-35

Armor Sets

• Pyromancy build in Elden Ring focuses on ranged combat.
• The Silver Tear Mask headpiece is essential for an Arcane boost.
• Defeat Radahn in Caelid to access Nokron, where you can obtain the Silver Tear Mask by defeating the Mimic Tear boss.
• Consider aesthetics with armor sets like Blackflame Monk, Blue Cloth, Champion, Depraved Perfumer, Drake-Knight, Fire Prelate, and Fire Monk.

Weapons

• In a Pyromancy build, I recommend using Cerulean flasks as it is crucial due to the high mana consumption of incantations.
• To replenish health, rely on weapons like Serpent God’s Curved Sword and Blasphemous Blade.

  

• These weapons provide health upon killing enemies, and you can boost this effect with specific talismans.
• Obtain Serpent God’s Curved Sword by defeating enemies in Ruin-Strewn Precipice.
• Acquire the Blasphemous Blade by trading the Remembrance of the Blasphemous item with Enia at Roundtable Hold after defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy in Mt Gelmir.

Dragon Communion Sacred Seal

• Dragon Communion Sacred Seal: Essential for Pyromancy builds in Elden Ring.
• Scales better than Faith and Arcane; requires 10 Faith and 10 Arcane, with D Faith and C Arcane scaling.
• Upgrade with Somber Smithing Stones to +10 for the highest scaling.
• Obtain access near the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace using two Stonesword keys.
• Defeat an enemy in the small room to obtain the Dragon Communion Sacred Seal.

Talismans & Incantaions

• Key Pyromancy talismans: Fire Scorpion Charm, Flock’s Canvas Talisman, Godfroy Icon, Marika’s Scarseal, Ritual Sword Talisman.
• Equip four: consider swapping Ritual Sword for Fire Scorpion Charm for ranged combat.
• Get Fire Scorpion Charm at Mt. Gelmir’s Fort Laiedd.
• Acquire Flock’s Canvas Talisman by completing Millicent’s quest.
• Defeat Godfroy the Grafted for the Godfroy Icon in Golden Lineage Evergoal.
• Find Marika’s Scarseal at the Siofra River waterfall base.
• Recommended incantations: Flame Grant Me Strength, Giantsflame Take Thee, Flame Fall Upon Them, Burn O Flame!, Flame Sling, Catch Flame.
• These incantations offer offensive and buffing abilities for Pyromancy builds.

Pyromancy Build PlayStyle

• Basic Playstyle: The Pyromancy built in Elden Ring emphasizes ranged combat engagement. Sneak up on enemies and cast high-damage fire incantations.
• Scenario-Based Casting: Adjust your incantations based on the scenario. Use area-of-effect incantations for unaware crowds and balance long or short incantations during boss encounters.
• Melee Combat: Melee combat should be a lower priority, mainly used to steal enemies’ health.
• Cerulean Flasks: Prioritize using Cerulean flasks over Crimson ones during open-world exploration, reserving Crimson flasks for boss battles when there are no enemies to defeat and regain health.
• Invasion: The Pyromancy build is effective for invading other players in Elden Ring, offering a variety of fire-based spells to buff damage and unleash fire attacks. In my experience, the Pyro playstyle can catch invaders off guard due to its unique approach.

My Experience With Pyromancy Spells And Weapon

Though pyromancies don’t have a respective class in Elden Ring, it is certainly a viable build. During the hundreds of hours, I have put into Elden Ring via my WaterJuice Steam Profile, many of them were just me meddling with Fire incantations and weapons.

First of all, pyromancy swords such as the Blasphemous Blade and Magma Wyrm’s weapon are all very fun to use, with insane damage outputs. There is a scarce amount of pyromancy spells, but all of them, such as certain dragon incantations, were arguably the most fun I had using incantations in Elden Ring.
