There is one major problem with the FR 5.56, and that is the recoil control. Almost all guns that utilize burst fire will have similar problems, so I have focused more on maintaining its recoil without sacrificing much.
The following is the best loadout for the FR 5.56:
- Barrel: 435MM FR435
- Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
- Magazine: 60 Round Mag
- Optic: SZ Lonewolf Optic
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
I have mainly chosen the 435MM FR435 barrel for FR 5.56 as it helps to control the recoil. While it reduces the recoil, it also helps to improve the bullet velocity along with the Tac Stance Spread, which is pretty useful. I noticed some movement and ADS speed reduction while using the barrel, but it wasn’t that much. Again, I have chosen the Merc Foregrip solely because it tremendously helps control the recoil.
With the Underbarrel, I noticed the three-burst spread was way more accurate, making FR 5.56 unstoppable in close combat. Regarding the magazine, you can use any other alternative you want. I used the 60-round mag just because I like to use the weapon in all ranges, so that requires way more bullets. Also, the bursts will instantly finish the bullets. Regarding the Optic, I prefer the SZ Lonewolf Optic, but I would recommend you choose it yourself.
Lastly, I have chosen the Monolithic Supressor as the muzzle, which also helps control the recoil. It will also reduce the noise of your shots. Remember that with the build, your movement and ADS speed will suffer a bit. However, it won’t take long to get used to it.
FR 5.56 Best Class Setup
Now that the best build for FR 5.56 in MW3 has been discussed, it is time for the best class.
The following are the best perks, equipment, and secondary weapons for F5 5.56:
- Perks: Overkill Vest, Assault Gloves, and Covert Sneakers.
- Equipment: Stun Grenade and Frag Grenade.
- Secondary Weapon: Striker.
Overkill Vest is one of the best vests in MW3, as it lets you equip two secondary weapons. Not only that, but it also increases the weapon swap speed, which will come in handy with the build. For the secondary weapon, I would highly recommend Striker as I faced some troubles with Fr 5.56 in close-range combats. While the weapon can demolish enemies in close range, it is difficult to aim. So, Striker could help in close combat.
Aside from Overkill Vest, I prefer Assault Golves and Covert Sneakers. Assault Gloves will improve accuracy, while the Cover Sneakers will make you stealthy. For equipment, I went with the Stun and Frag Grenade, as they are always the go-to setup with any weapon, and they always work. Remember that using the Overkill Vest means you will have to sacrifice the field upgrades.
So, without field upgrades, you will have to rely more on your teammates and the lethals.
My Thoughts On The FR 5.56
I think FR 5.56 is a great weapon in some aspects, but it can be overpowered by many other weapons.
Weapons that utilize burst fire might be more useful in modes like Modern Warfare Zombies. But in other modes, I mainly faced the issue where enemies overpowered me in close combat. However, with the loadout I explained in the guide, I managed to grab some easy kills in mid and close-range.
