Ancient Magic Hotspots in Hogwarts Legacy are locations where hidden Ancient Magic activities may be found. If you’ve played the first few hours of Hogwarts Legacy, you already know that your character may use Ancient Magic to transform into a super wizard and damage foes terribly. This magic is powered by an ancient magic meter, which can be updated by visiting all of the Hogwarts Legacy Ancient Magic Hotspots.

Before we begin, let’s quickly look at all the Ancient Magic Hotspots in Hogwarts Legacy:

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Forbidden Forest

There are two Ancient Magic Hotspots within the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts Legacy.

As you go through Hogwarts Legacy, you will be able to observe Ancient Magic Hotspots in the Highlands. Collecting these magical spheres is crucial since it will allow you to secure the hotspot on the map. These spheres, however, are difficult to secure.

On your journey, you will encounter several riddles and overcome many adversaries. It will take a long time because there are 20 Ancient Magic Hotspot locations, each with an average of three spheres. To solve these riddles, you only need to follow the location and procedure, which will not take long.

Hotspot #1- North Ford Bog

• Head to the aging building near the North Ford Bog area.
• Use the Incendio Spell to clear slugs and spider webs in your path.
• Look around the structure to find three spheres.
• Collect the first sphere on the right.
• The second sphere is on top of wooden crates.
• Jump through the window ahead to access the third sphere.
• Retrieve the third sphere by crawling through the gap in the wall.

Hotspot #2- West Forbidden Forest

• Locate the Ancient Magic Hotspot, which is 78 meters south of the West Forbidden Forest Floo Flame.
• Examine the area and find four frogs lined up on the wall.
• The frog closest to the entrance on the right side will guide you to another section with a sphere.
• Collect this sphere and use the frogs to navigate back to the hub.
• Use the frog on the farthest side to the right of the door to climb to the top of the ruins.
• Use Revelio to reveal all three spheres on top of the ruins.
• Carefully follow the path above the ruins to collect all three spheres.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Hogsmeade Valley

• You’ll find an Ancient Magic Hotspot near the merchant in East Hogsmeade Valley, amidst some ruins.
• Initiate the Magic Investigation and enter the ruins from the roof while riding your broom.
• Descend by removing the hanging objects obstructing your path.
• Collect all three Ancient Magic spheres.
• Proceed by ascending the staircase on the right side of the iron gate.
• To clear the window covered in leaves and vines, use a fire spell like Incendio.
• The second sphere can be found on the opposite side, accessible by climbing two wooden platforms in the same location.
• Alternatively, destroy the pulley lifting cargo in the area with a spell and leap through the floor hole to collect the third sphere.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In North Hogwarts Region

• The Ancient Magic Hotspot is located 78 meters away from the Collector’s Cave Floo Flame.
• Activate the Magic Investigation and explore the ruins to collect three Ancient Magic spheres.
• To descend to the lowest level, break through the earth.
• Control the tiles and pillars using spells like Depulso, Wingardium Leviosa, and Accio.
• You will encounter Inferi; defeat them and lift the bones from the tomb to create a staircase for your escape.
• After visiting the hotspot, break the wooden ground slabs.
• Leap through the hole that forms in the ground to discover one sphere in the actual chamber.
• Use Accio on a wall block to obtain the second sphere.
• To exit the underground area, create a stairway using Accio on every skeleton. Bones can be found in a tomb in the center of the room and within the walls.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Hogwarts Valley

The Hogwarts Valley area of the Highlands has 6 hotspots. It will be preferable if you fly about on a broom while exploring this region since you can perform additional tasks.

Hotspot #1- North Hogwarts Valley

• Travel north of Hogwarts Valley to find a cave.
• Inside the cave, locate all three spheres.
• On the opposite side of the ruin, you’ll find one sphere.
• Use Bombarda to break nearby wooden slabs and access the other two spheres.
• Make a wooden box float using Levioso and Depulso spells to reach the other two spheres.
• Use Incendio to burn down nearby vines and collect the third sphere.

Hotspot #2- Southeast Hogwarts Valley

• 333 meters southeast of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame is this hotspot.
• Defeat local Dark Wizards and initiate the Magic Investigation.
• Eliminate spiders and explore the ruins to find all three Ancient Magic Spheres.

Hotspot #3- South Of Brocburrow

• Located 195 meters south and west of the Brocburrow Floo Flame.
• Activate the Magic Investigation and defeat spiders.
• Climb to a neighboring rooftop within the ruins to collect all three spheres.
• Fly over to the sphere next to the investigation location after finishing your search.
• Clear vines and boxes to retrieve the first sphere.
• Look for a revolving mechanism along one of the walls, use Depulso on it to access the second sphere.
• Burn the plants near a gateway, go through the gate, and use Accio on the box to reach the third sphere.

Hotspot #4- West Of Keenbridge

• Located west of Keenbridge.
• Start the Magic Investigation and eliminate spiders.
• Explore the ruins and climb onto the adjoining rooftop to collect all three Ancient Magic Spheres.
• One sphere is in a sheep-filled meadow east of the ruin.
• Fly to the top of the fallen chimney using your broom.
• Use Revelio to reveal two spheres moving in opposite directions.

Hotspot #5- East Of Keenbridge

• Located east and south of Keenbridge.
• Use a fire spell to clear vines and investigate the ruins.
• Soar with your broom to collect all three spheres.
• Burn the vines at the entrance and destroy the boxes to get the first sphere.
• Position the movable box to reach the second sphere hidden in smoldering boxes.
• Continue ascending until you reach the roof and retrieve the third sphere by flying with the broom.

Hotspot #6- Central Hogwarts Valley

• Battle a few foes before exploring this hotspot.
• Head towards the ruins on the left side of the hotspot.
• Use your broom to reach the location of the first sphere.
• Break wooden barrels to access the second sphere.
• Burn down vines obstructing the doors to enter the ruins.
• Inside, crouch behind the drooping beams and find the third sphere hidden by boxes.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Feldcroft Region

You will find four Ancient Magic Hotspots within the Feldcroft area of the Hogwarts Legacy.

Hotspot #1- North Feldcroft Floo Flame

• Located 178 meters north of the North Feldcroft Floo Flame.
• Activate the Magic Investigation and explore the ruins to find all three Ancient Magic spheres.
• Look for a tiny ruin tower above the bandit camp to the east of the marker.
• Fly with a broom and use Revelio to locate the stone tower containing the first sphere.
• Land on the roof and descend to obtain the second sphere.
• Cast Incendio to burn the vines in the tower and reach the third sphere on a separate staircase.

Hotspot #2- Rookwood Castle

• Ascend the ladder by the gate after investigating the hotspot.
• Use a fire spell to demolish a wall with vines.
• Climb up and collect the sphere.
• Destroy a nearby pulley and jump over the new route to find the last sphere.

Hotspot #3- East Feldcroft

• Located in the east of Feldcroft.
• Investigate the hotspot within the ruin to obtain the first sphere.
• Exit the building and look for a sphere inside a circular ruin area.
• Use Revelio to spot the second sphere on a ruin across the street.
• Battle trolls in the nearby enchantment.
• Find the third sphere hidden in the tent behind the trolls.

Hotspot #4- South Of Irondale

• Irondale Floo Flame is 172 meters to the south and slightly west of this hotspot.
• Activate the hotspot and head towards the ruins.
• Eliminate vines to access the first sphere inside a ruin.
• Climb up and use your broom to fly for the second sphere.
• The third sphere is located beyond the Treasure Vault.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Poidsear Coast

There are two Hotspots on Poidsear Coast.

Hotspot #1- Phoenix Mountain Cave

Location: Inside Phoenix Mountain Cave

Steps:

1. 1. Use Alohomora to unlock the cave entrance.
   2. Destroy wooden slats in the middle of the room.
   3. Use Depulso to clear rocks blocking a sphere.
   4. Burn vines on the left to reveal a movable crate.
   5. Use Accio to move the crate to the opposite side.
   6. Position the crate above a platform.
   7. Climb the nearby wall.
   8. Navigate wooden planks, watch for spiderwebs.
   9. Find a staircase after obtaining the second sphere.
   10. Proceed to find the third sphere.

Hotspot #2- South Poidsear Coast

This Ancient Magic Hotspot is situated on the South Poidsear Coast.

1. Cross a small bridge and locate two buildings.
2. Reach a wooden platform next to one building.
3. Break any wooden barriers and collect the sphere.
4. Enter the building through the side entrance.
5. Crawl left inside the chamber.
6. Remove two vines.
7. Use Accio to clear a wall block.
8. Move a crate close to the wall block.
9. Climb the crate to reach a wooden platform.
10. Collect the third sphere after crossing the platform.

Hotspot #1- Marunweem Bridge

This Ancient Magic Hotspot may be found 98 meters east of the Marunweem Bridge Floo Flame. Then, utilize Reparo to repair the wooden slats to the left after exploring the region to find all the spheres. Leap up the wooden pathway. The first sphere will be there. Capture it. Follow the wooden path to the wall block. To bring down a drawbridge in this situation, use Accio on the wall block adjacent to the gap. You come into a dueling feast here.

After killing these creatures with Incendio, proceed to the locked area where the second sphere is located. The room may then be unlocked with the Alohomora Spell, and the third sphere can be obtained by using a broom. On the boat in the river is where you’ll discover the third sphere.

Hotspot #2- Coastal Mine

South of the Coastal Mine Floo Flame, there is an Ancient Magic Hotspot that you may discover. Defeat the local Inferi first, and then turn on the hotspot. Use Reparo straight on the crooked platform, then ascent the slab. Make use of Depulso to take the first sphere. After obtaining the first sphere, proceed to the platform that has been fixed.

The second sphere is located here. Take hold of the sphere, then utilize Revelio to find a different lever. To remove the boxes that are impeding the lever, use the Incendio spell. Open the steel gate by pulling Depulso on the lever. The third sphere is available here.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Manor Cape

The West Manor Cape Floo Flame is located 133 meters northeast of this Ancient Magic Hotspot. Visit the manor ruins first, and then turn on the hotspot. Simply fly to the second floor with the broom to discover the first sphere there. Use Alohomora to enter the sealed room from the back doorway once you take that sphere. Next, teleport to the last sphere with the frog.

Ancient Magic Hotspot In Cragcroft Shore

You may find the ancient ruin to the west of Cragcroft Shore. You can find this hotspot 280 meters away from the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame. Investigate to locate all three spheres. On your route, you’ll come upon the first sphere. Gather this initial sphere with the help of the broom. After that, proceed up to the ceiling, where one of the four pillars holds another sphere. To get the third sphere, use your broom and Revelio to fly along the building’s exterior.
