Baldur’s Gate 3 Receives Hotfix #11; Fixes Gale’s Romance

Baldur’s Gate 3 has received hotfix #11, the second hotfix after the massive patch #4. The latest update addresses several issues, visual bugs, blockers, and Gale’s romance sequence. Larian Studios also revealed that the devs are aware of the issue with Astarion’s kissing animation, which is expected to be fixed in a future update.

Hotfix #11 is now live for Baldur's Gate 3.

According to the patch notes, hotfix #11 now enables the player to use soaps that were encountered in saves before patch 4 dropped. Additionally, the update fixes the game freezing and crashing due to reactions caused by spells. Furthermore, alongside Gale’s romance, the update has also fixed an issue that stopped Wyll and Minthara from properly kissing a second time without triggering the dialogue.

Larian Studios released their patch #4 for Baldur’s Gate 3 about two weeks ago on November 2. The patch introduced over 1000 fixes across all three Acts. Hotfix #10 was released on November 9, shortly after the major update. Hotfix #10 fixed Shadowheart not following the party in certain circumstances, as well as Astarion’s voice not following the dialogues.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a massive success ever since its launch on August 3, 2023. eXputer has rated the game 5 out of 5 and termed it “one of the greatest RPGs of all time.” While the game is currently available to play on PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series port of the game is set to launch soon as Larian Studios plans to announce the release date at The Game Awards 2023 on December 7.
