Ubisoft Releases Launch Trailer For Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown

Ubisoft is finally out and about with a new Prince of Persia game after 14 whopping years more or less, when it really put the “forgotten” in The Forgotten Sands back in 2010. Continuing the lineage of this iconic franchise, the developers have spun the direction of the series and converted Prince of Persia into a side-scrolling Metroidvania with The Lost Crown. From the looks of it, the side-scroller is going to pack action-packed gameplay and engaging exploration, not to mention the onslaught of tantalizing boss fights that are going to push players to their edge. The art direction that Ubisoft went with this time around is seemingly distinct from what the rest of the iterations in the Prince of Persia series encompassed—that much is clear.

As for when you can get your hands on the title, purchase its Deluxe Edition and you can start playing right now. That’s because of the early access period associated with pre-ordering this particular variant of The Lost Crown, the details of which you can find on the official Ubisoft storefront. But, of course, if you fancy the $17.99 a month Ubisoft+ subscription instead, The Lost Crown pops right up for you to play in that regard, along with a swath of additional games to enjoy on the platform of your preference. In case you’d like to wait, the Standard Edition should suit you better. It does not come with early access, though, but will let you pre-load on January 16, two days prior to the title’s global release. 

Just in case you missed it, Ubisoft recently published the PC specs requirement for playing The Lost Crown. along with the various graphics modes that players can expect on consoles. You should also be wary of some of the accessibility features that the Metroidvania sports, thereby making the gameplay experience fair and enjoyable for a diversity of audiences out there.
