IShowSpeed Wins “Breakout Streamer” At Streamy Awards 2022

At The Streamy Awards 2022, ishowspeed was nominated under two categories and won the ‘Breakout Streamer’ award.

The Streamy Awards are presented annually to honor the best online videos and their creators. This year, its 12th edition took place on December 4, with over 40 nominations in various categories.

For the first time, Streamy Awards included the gaming categories. From nominations of IShowSpeed to Kai Cenat to Pokimane, the competition this year was incredibly tough.

Darren, popularly known as IShowSpeed was nominated for two Streamys. Although he lost “Streamer of the Year” to Kai Cenat, ishowspeed did win his first Streamy award for “Breakout Streamer.” In this category, he was nominated along with 4 other streamers: Kai Cenat, Emiru, QTCinderella, and kkatamina.

Much to the audience’s disappointment, ishowspeed wasn’t present in person to receive his award. The Mexican streamer and Youtuber, Quackityinfo accepted the award on his behalf and congratulated him.

 

Many other notable content creators also dominated the ceremony. Mark Rober was the top winner of the Streamy Awards with four wins: creator for social good, collaboration, science and engineering, and Streamys Brand Awards: brand engagement. 

Jimmy Donaldson, the massively popular YouTube content creator known as MrBeast, had the second-most wins in the ceremony after Mark Rober. He won three Streamys: creator of the year, creator for social good, and Streamys Brand Awards: brand engagement. He won the “Creator of the year” for the third year in the row.
