Geoglyphs are basically large unique, and meaningful motifs present on various parts of Hyrule. You can find a Dragon Tear on each of these Geoglyph locations, which provides further context about the story and characters of Tears of the Kingdom.

What Are Geoglyphs In Tears of the Kingdom?

Like Elden Ring, Tears of the Kingdom relies on environmental storytelling and lore to provide the full context of the story. The Dragon Tears found on each of these Geoglyph locations play a short cutscene once you interact with them. Each of these cutscenes provides new insight into different characters like Zelda and Raruru or sometimes about Hyrule in general.

Visiting each Geoglyph location on the map in the correct order will give you a much clearer idea of the Tears of the Kingdom’s lore than seeing it in jumbled order. These Geoglyphs are located on different parts of the map. The best way to find them is by launching yourself up high in the air using a nearby Skyview Tower or a self-constructed airmobile, as the overhead view helps locate the Geoglyphs more easily.

Impa And The Geoglyphs

The Dragon Tears questline is an extension of the Impa and the Geoglyphs questline, and it is recommended to go through this questline before hunting down all of the Dragon Tears. Impa can be found in the New Serenne Stable, near the Sinkawak Shrine in the Hyrule Field area.

Important: His location is exactly where the first Geoglyph is, which is discussed below.

Follow the Impa’s instructions and complete his quest for the first Dragon Tear. Following the quest further will take you to Mayausiy Shrine and give a rough estimate of where to find each of these Geoglyphs.

After completing the Impa’s questline, you’ll have a nice idea of where to find each of these Geoglyphs, but in case you are still having trouble pinning it down, here are all the exact locations of Geoglyphs along with the coordinates of Dragon Tears in Tears of the Kingdom.

I have enlisted all Tears of the Kingdom Geoglyph locations in chronological order so that each cutscene feels like a continuation of the next.

Important: Using Skyview Towers to dive into these Geoglyphs is recommended, as getting to these locations on foot is relatively much harder.

Geoglyph #1 – Rauru

The first Geoglyph is present right where Impa is standing, and locating its Dragon Tear is part of her quest line. This Geoglyph is located on the North Hyrule Plane, and its Dragon Tear can be found on Rauru’s right eye.

Geoglyph #2 – Temple

The second Geoglyph is located near the Tabantha Hills. The easiest way to reach this Geoglyph is by skydiving from the Wind Temple or Linder’s Brow. The Dragon Tear is located right in the middle of the Geoglyph, and it’s pretty evident from above.

Geoglyph #3 – Purah Pad

Dragon Tear Coordinates:1828, 0737, 0089

The third Geoglyph is reminiscent of the Purah Pad/Nintendo Switch, located south of Eldin Canyon and between the Trilby Plain and Tribal Valley. The closest tower to it is the Elden Canyon Skyview Tower. The Dragon can be found right in the middle of the Purah Pad.

Geoglyph #4 – Molduga

Dragon Tear Coordinates: 0694, -1309, 0053

The fourth Geoglyph is located north of the Faron region, right across the Riverside Stable. It is situated on top of Batera Lake, and the nearest tower you can jump from to get here is the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. The Dragon Tear is located right in the middle of the trees, as shown in the image below.

Geoglyph #5 – Ganondorf

The fifth Geoglyph is located on Gerudo Highlands, right below the Sophia Table on top of the cliffs. The Dragon Tear will be right in the middle of the cliff, and the easiest way to get there is by utilizing the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.

Geoglyph #6 – Queen Sonia

Dragon Tear Coordinates: -3096, -0077, 0211

The sixth Geoglyph is located to the South West of Hyrule Ridge, right on top of the Illumeni Plateau. The Dragon Tear is located in between Sonia’s two hair curls. Reaching this Geoglyph location in Tears of the Kingdom by using the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower is the recommended way to get there.

Geoglyph #7 – Scimitar

Dragon Tear Coordinates: 3325, -3566, 0004

The seventh Tears of the Kingdom Geoglyph location has a shape resembling a huge Scimitar, which is very clearly visible even from the map. It is located on the Southeast corner of the map, near the East Nebula. The Dragon Tear of this Geoglyph is located on the left hilt of the Scimitar. Rebella Wetlands Skyview Tower is one I would recommend skydiving to this Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #8 – Demon King

The eighth Geoglyph is located in the North Tabantha Tundra. You can jump there either from the East Hebra Sky Archipelago or the Pikida Stonegrave Skyview Tower. The Dragon Tear can be found right in the middle left of the Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #9 – Sacred Stone

The ninth Geoglyph can be found right above where the Talus Plateau is written on the map. Skydive there using the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. The Dragon Tear can be found near the Geoglyph’s curved section.

Geoglyph #10 – Memorial Stone

Dragon Tear Coordinates: -0649, -2683, 0068

You can find the tenth Geoglyph south of Central Hyrule, between Hylia Island and Mount Flora. The Geoglyph looks like a Memorial Stone, and the Dragon Tear is located on the left side of the grave, right on top of the flower. You can dive there from the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower.

Geoglyph #11 – Master Sword

The eleventh Geoglyph is located to the Northeast of the Great Hyrule Forest. You can jump there either from the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago or Typhlo Ruins Skyview Tower. Right on the tip of the Master Sword Geoglyph, you will find the Dragon Tear.

Secret Geoglyph – Final Memory

Dragon Tear Coordinates: 4534, 2144, 0000

After visiting all Geoglyph locations and watching their respective cutscenes in Tears of the Kingdom, the game will mark the final Dragon Tear location on the map. It is located on the top right portion of the map, right top of the Rist Peninsula. In the middle of the Rist Peninsula, you will find the last Dragon Tear.

Reward

Completing this questline will unlock a pathway that will enable you to obtain the most iconic weapon of the game, “Master Sword.” This weapon has unlimited durability and never breaks, no matter how many foes you slay with it.

Doing this questline only unveils 12 of the story memories. Don’t worry; you will unlock the rest by progressing the storyline, except for the memory tear locked behind the Great Deku Tree interaction.
