V Rising Cloaks: How To Get, Purpose & Types

Cloaks in V Rising provide a certain amount of stats, which can boost players’ performance in combat and help them take control over enemies. These cloaks can offer defensive and offensive buffs, allowing players to unleash attacks at enemies and continuously unleash high damage output.

Certain cloaks can offer high attack buffs, while others can provide HP increases alongside staying alive for long periods. The defense buffs allow players to tank heavier hits from enemies, making enemies fear players even more due to the high tank abilities of V Rising players. 

Our guide will uncover the main purpose of cloaks, where players can get them from, and a few select cloaks that are worth it to invest in! 

Cloaks In V Rising

Complete information about the Clocks in V Rising:

All Cloaks 

When players try to use cloaks, there is detailed information about 9 or 10 capes. In contrast, others are only mentioned by their names simply because they do not have any detailed information released yet about them! 

Immortal King’s Mantle 

The Immortal King’s Mantle is a DLC cape in V Rising that offers several stat bonuses and resistances:

• +24 Max Health: This bonus increases your total health, making it easier to survive in combat.
• +15 Sun Resistance: Sun resistance helps you resist damage or negative effects from sun-based attacks or environments.
• +15 Garlic Resistance: Garlic resistance protects you from the negative effects of garlic poisoning.
• +15 Silver Resistance: Silver resistance helps you resist damage or negative effects from silver-based attacks or environments.
• +15 Fire Resistance: Fire resistance helps you resist damage or negative effects from fire-based attacks or environments.
• +15 Holy Resistance: Holy resistance helps you resist damage or negative effects from holy-based attacks or environments.

How To Get

Perhaps the easiest way to get this cape is to simply head over to the store that is available in-game and simply purchase the DLC pack, which will offer this particular piece of armor to the player without needing to put in any extra effort. It can not be crafted, nor can it be farmed. Therefore the DLC pack is the player’s only option. 

Phantom’s Veil 

For V Rising players wondering how exactly the Phantom’s Veil works, they will be surprised to know that the veil itself is one of the Non-DLC Cloaks veils with the same stats as the Immortal King’s Mantle. These stats include: 

How To Get

To craft the Phantom’s Veil, you’ll need to follow these steps:

1. Head to the Cursed Forest area in V Rising.
2. Explore deeper into the forest until you encounter Foulrot The Soultaker, a boss at level 62. Foulrot is one of the six main bosses in this area.
3. Defeat Foulrot The Soultaker. This boss has Mist Trance powers.
4. After defeating the boss, you will receive several recipes, including the one for the Phantom’s Veil.
5. To craft the Phantom’s Veil, you’ll need the following materials:

• 4 Ghost Yarn
• 4 Spectral Dust

Immortal King’s Drape 

The Immortal King’s Drape is similar to the Traveler’s Wrap but is a part of a DLC pack. Here’s how to obtain the Immortal King’s Drape:

1. You can acquire the crafting recipe for the Immortal King’s Drape by purchasing the relevant DLC pack available in V Rising.
2. After obtaining the recipe, you’ll be able to craft the Immortal King’s Drape at a worktable using the following materials:

• • 5 Cloth
  • 5 Leather

While this cloak may not offer significant late-game advantages, it can be quite useful for early to mid-game content. It provides a modest increase in max HP and Sun Resistance, making it a valuable addition to your character’s equipment, especially in the earlier stages of the game.

How To Get

To attain the Immortal King’s Drape, V Rising Players will need to acquire the crafting recipe by purchasing the DLC pack provided and released by V Rising themselves recently. From the pack, players will attain the recipe and require 5 Cloth and 5 Leather to craft the drape. 

Traveler’s Wrap 

The free version of the Immortal King’s Drape is the Traveler’s Wrap, which players can consider as sort of an early game V Rising Cloaks since it will essentially provide enough protection whereby players will be able to carry forth unto the mid-game. 

How To Get

You can obtain the Traveler’s Wrap, a non-DLC cloak, by following these steps:

1. Head to the main Farbane Woods area in the game. This area is somewhat distant from your main base.
2. As you explore Farbane Woods, you’ll encounter a boss named Keely The Frost Archer. This boss is at level 20 and should be relatively easy to defeat.
3. After defeating Keely The Frost Archer, you will receive several items, including the recipe for the Traveler’s Wrap.
4. To craft the Traveler’s Wrap, you’ll need to use a worktable and crafting bench. The required materials for crafting are:

• 5 Cloth
• 5 Leather

Hunter’s Cloak 

The Hunter’s Cloak provides players with an additional 18 health, improving their survivability in combat. It also boosts Sun Resistance, Garlic Resistance, and Silver Resistance by 15 points each, offering enhanced protection against various poisons and threats. Garlic poisoning, in particular, can be deadly to a player’s health and should be avoided. The Hunter’s Cloak excels in mid-to-late game scenarios, thanks to its solid stats.

How To Get

• To obtain the Hunter’s Cloak, head to Dawnbreak Village in the Dunley Farmlands.
• Enter the first house on the left.
• Defeat the mini-boss Beatrice the Tailor (level 38).
• She will drop Cotton Yarn, Cloth, and the Hunter’s Cloak recipe upon defeat.
• To craft the Hunter’s Cloak, you’ll need 6 Cotton Yarn, which can be obtained from the yarn Beatrice drops.

Immortal King’s Cloak 

As for the DLC counterpart of Hunter’s Cloak, travelers in V Rising can get the cooler version of the cloak, which will have the same stats as the Hunter cape. However, the only difference is its overall appearance and how it can change the player’s overall outlook. 

The cape itself functions the same and can also carry the player through the mid-game and even end-game content: 

Ashfolk Crystal Ice Cloak 

The Ashfolk Crystal Ice Cloak in V Rising is a powerful and protective blood-bound cloak with significant buffs:

• It increases your max HP, providing crucial survivability against tough enemies and bosses.
• Enhances Sun Resistance by 15, allowing you to venture outdoors for longer periods.
• Boosts Garlic Resistance by 15, protecting you from the dangers of garlic poisoning.
• Provides a 15-point increase in Silver Resistance, essential for progressing in the game

How To Get

One of the easiest ways to get the cloak is to head over to the Haunted Iron Mine, an abandoned mine filled with chests that can be looted. If players head in through the secret entrances and fight off mobs, they will come across treasure chests that they can open, and they might come across the cloak. 

Thousand Stitch Cloak 

The Thousand Stitch Cloak is a stunning and highly useful end-game cloak, providing elegance and formidable stats:

• It enhances your max HP by 15, ensuring your survival during challenging battles.
• Boosts Sun Resistance by 15, enabling you to explore outdoors more comfortably.
• Increases Garlic Resistance by 15, protecting you from the dangers of garlic poisoning.
• Offers a 15-point increase in Silver Resistance, facilitating your encounters with formidable foes, including demons.

How To Get

To obtain the Thousand Stitch Cloak, you’ll need to:

1. Enter the Haunted Iron Mines.
2. Search for a golden chest, but keep in mind that it doesn’t appear every time you enter the mine.
3. If you’re lucky and find the chest, you’ll receive valuable resources and the crafting recipe for the cloak.

Hermit’s Shawl 

Last but not least, we will wrap up by introducing Hermit’s Shawl, which players in V Rising can use in the middle of their gameplay, whether they are newer players or older veteran testers, and managed to get them early on in the tests. 

The infamous shawl itself can be adorned around the player’s neck and will hone a few tears in it, showing the player’s wear and tear while also allowing the player to stay guarded in its protection.
