  • There are many different ways to build an Iron Man deck, but some of the best cards to include with him are those that have Ongoing abilities, low-cost cards, or high-power cards.
  • There are many different ways to build an Iron Man deck, but some of the most popular options include:
  • An “ongoing abilities overboard” deck, which focuses on using Iron Man’s ability to amplify the power of other ongoing cards.
  • A “subtle mix” deck, which includes various cards that synergize with Iron Man’s ability.
  • A “beginner” deck, which is a good option for players who are new to the game.
  • You can’t play with an incomplete deck, so make sure you have all the cards you need before you start a match.
  • Iron Man is a great card, but he’s not the only one. There are many other great cards in Marvel Snap, so experiment with different combinations to find what works best for you.

Iron Man’s Card

Before we get into the deck possibilities, let’s take a second to discuss how Iron Man’s card operates. Iron Man is considered one of the starter cards that can fit into several different deck combinations.

It is not only easy to obtain, but it is also incredibly f2p friendly. Therefore, it has countless possibilities that you can go for. Iron Man will have several different variants of his card, which will simply change up the artwork that is showcased whenever he is upgraded.

Apart from that, he will be a 5-energy cost card and provide 0 actual power to the player on his own. However, his ability will be an Ongoing ability, allowing players to have their overall power doubled at the location where the card is placed.

Underrated Non-Meta Deck

Mister Fantastic32
Captain America33
Wave 33
Onslaught 66
Blue Marvel53
Iron Man50
Omega Red45

Now, the first deck we would like to mention will have quite the power, and while it is not considered meta-centered, the deck still performs exceptionally well. The card selection will be as follows, with their abilities listed, and it can help you with your progression really well!

  • Antman: With an ongoing ability, if you have a total of 3 cards placed at the location, power will be increased by 3.
  • Psylocke: with an Onreveal ability, on your next turn, players will be able to gain a total of +1 energy.
  • Mystique: On reveal ability allows players to gain an ongoing ability on this card if their last one had it.
  • Mister Fantastic: With ongoing abilities, the adjacent locations will increase their power by 2.
  • Captain America: He has an ongoing ability that allows your other cards present at this location to gain 1 power,
  • Wave: On the next turn, the cards in both your and your opponent’s hands will cost 4 energy.
  • Onslaught: If any other ongoing abilities are activated here, they will be doubled here.
  • Sera: Cards that are present in your hand will cost one energy less.
  • Klaw: The location that is present to the right will gain a total of +6 power.
  • Blue Marvel: The other cards that you have will gain +1 power.
  • Iron Man: An ongoing ability that allows your power to be doubled at this location.
  • Omega Red: If you’re ahead of your opponent by 10 power, your other locations will gain +4 power.

When it comes to the cost and power breakdown, it is estimated to be averaging at 3.8, while the power distribution will be centered at 2.8.

The deck itself is strong, with charisma and Onslaught being the show’s stars since they will allow all kinds of ongoing abilities to get an x8 multiplier in that location. If Mr. Fantasic is brought in, the adjacent locations will continue to get 16 power, and then Omega Red and Antman will come in to cause destruction.

A location with these four cars will continue to gain power and provide power to other locations.

The best way to play the deck would be to start with Iron Man since you will get an instant boost to your location’s power. On turn 3, you can bring in Wave, while turn 4 can benefit from onslaught’s appearance.

Mystique and Antman can make an appearance on your fight turn, while you can go for anyone such as Mr Fantastic or even Klaw at your sixth and final turn.

Another option that you can play is with Sera if you want to use her, and you can do this by placing in Sera’s appearance on your fourth turn. You can then go for Psylocke on your third turn, while Onslaught can be brought in on your fifth turn. Turn 6 can be a free for all option.

You would be better off with locations that would provide you energy buffs, such as Superflow or even Elysium works well. Sinister London is known to be the most broken location to spawn at, so you can pray and hope that you get the location.

Different Card Options

If there are some cards that you don’t have access to or haven’t unlocked by now, then there are some replacements that you can go for:

  • Magik: Magik is known to be one of the best replacements for Psylocke here; it is already pretty overpowered.
  • Mojo: Mojo can be helpful if you want to pair it up with Onslaught and use it on the same location; however, Mojo will outshine once you save it from placing down several cards on your sixth and final turn.

EOD Deck

Now that we’re done with one of the best combinations of decks you can go for, we’ll start to venture forth into deck options that might not be top-tier but are still worth checking out. Ongoing abilities will be a recurring theme with this deck and will have the showcased lineup.

  • Antman: Antman will have an ongoing ability that will allow him to allow players to gain 3 extra power points if there are three other cards placed down on the location.
  • Sunspot: At the end of your turn, players will continue to gain a total of +1 energy for any amount of energy that goes unspent.
  • Armor: With an ongoing ability, any cards placed down here will be in luck since opponents will not be able to get to them and potentially destroy them.
  • Lizard: Now, Lizard will also have an ongoing ability, which will give players -3 power if your enemy already has 4 cards here.
  • Electro: With a reveal ability, your energy will be increased by +1, while the ongoing ability will allow players to play one card every time their turn arrives.
  • Cosmo: The ability that the card will have will be an ongoing ability, and essentially, no on-reveal abilities will be able to take place at the location that the card is placed in.
  • Destroyer: As for the destroyer card, it will have an on-reveal ability to eliminate the player’s other cards.
  • Onslaught: The card will hone an ongoing ability, allowing players to have their ongoing abilities doubled if there are present on any of the cards that have been placed here by you.
  • Professor X: The place will go into direct lockdown, meaning no card can be removed or added.
  • Iron Man: As discussed, power will be doubled in this area.
  • Warpath: With an ongoing ability, if there is any location where you have not placed down cards, then your overall power will be increased by +4.
  • Omega Red: Your other locations will have their max power increased by 4 if you are ahead by a total of 10 power as compared to your opponent here.

As for the playstyle, the energy cost breakdowns are listed as follows:

  • One cost: 2 cards (Antman and sunspot)
  • Two costs: 2 cards (armor and lizard)
  • Three cost: 2 cards (electro and cosmo)
  • Four cost: 2 cards (omega red and warpath)
  • Five cost: 2 cards (iron man and professor X)
  • Six cost: 2 cards (onslaught and destroyer)
  • The average cost is 3.5

The power breakdown is also listed:

  • 0 power: 1 card (Iron Man)
  • 1 power: 2 cards (Ant-man and Sunspot)

  • 6 power: 0 cards
  • 7 power: 1 card (Onslaught)
  • 16 power: 1 card (Destroyer)
  • The average power breakdown is 4.3

Players will need to focus on the player elector on their third turn, while professor x can be played on the fourth. With that, the destroyer can be played on your fifth turn, and you use your final/sixth turn to play two cards.

You can also use iron man anywhere, either on the first or the last turn, depending on the need of the situation, while red omega will come in handy to help you with locations if they become too difficult.

Devil Dinosaur30

Moon Girl33

The next batch of decks we will get into will feature more synergizing abilities that can help players with one type of ability.

  • Ant-Man: Once again, an ongoing ability where he will automatically increase your power by +3 if you have 3 more cards.
  • Nightcrawler: As for nightcrawler, players will be able to place down their card however they wish to; however, alongside that, they will be able to move the card once to any location that they wish to.
  • Armor: The ongoing ability will allow players to place down their cards at the location that they want to, and once they do so, the cards will not be able to be destroyed.
  • Colossus: The ongoing ability will mean that your card won’t be destroyed, nor will it be able to reduce its overall power, which makes it all the better for the player.
  • Mister Fantastic: The ongoing ability will increase the power of adjacent locations by 2.
  • Captain America: When it comes to Captain America’s ability, if there are any other cards that are placed at the location, their overall power will be increased by +1.
  • Onslaught: The ongoing ability will grant players the ability to have their current ongoing abilities effects doubled at the location where the card is placed.
  • Spectrum: The reveal ability will grant the player’s ongoing cards 2 extra power.
  • Klaw: Whichever location you use the card in will increase the power of the location to the right by +6.
  • Devil Dinosaur: The cards in your hands will increase their power by 2.
  • Iron Man: The ability will allow players to increase their power and multiply it by 2 at the location the card is used in.
  • Moon Girl: The on-reveal ability will allow players to duplicate their hands.

The playthrough for this deck will be pretty simple, as the main aim will be placed on ongoing abilities. Since most of the ongoing abilities will be used to increase locational power, it automatically focuses on helping players play fast matches with fast turns to gain victory.
