Apart from facing the usual Hydra Agents and Minions, you will come across all seven bosses in Midnight Suns. Each boss possesses a different type of ability, so you need the best characters in Midnight Suns in order to win the fights.
NOTE: The guide contains story spoilers, so read at your own discretion!
There are a total of 7 different bosses in Midnight Suns, with each boss having unique characteristics and abilities.
- Allen Venom: Use knockback to eliminate Hydra agents and strategically spam Hunter’s Slash and Spiderman’s knockback.
- Sabretooth: Sabretooth is aggressive and doesn’t wait for your turn. Deal with him using Wolverine and Hunter.
- Crossbones: Reduce Crossbones’ Hydra Shield to zero to make him vulnerable. Use Iron Man, Hunter, and Captain America to deal with him, saving Iron Man’s cards for AOE attacks.
- Fallen Scarlet Witch: She can confuse your heroes, making them use cards randomly. Redraw cards for affected heroes and use AOE abilities with Nico, Hunter, and Magik.
- Fallen Hulk: You can’t defeat Fallen Hulk due to his infinite lives, so focus on survival. Alternate between different characters for maximum damage and use Ghost Rider’s Drain Soul to attack Hulk’s minions.
- The Dark Hunter: Utilize Hulk and Captain Marvel’s AOE attacks to target Hunter and his Shadowhounds. Arrange enemies in a single formation for Captain Marvel’s Photon Beam.
- Chthon: Deal with waves of enemies and unlock Establish Seal cards to seal Chthon away. Spam quick attacks, build a balanced deck, and save your heroism for this battle.

Fallen Venom is one of the first bosses you encounter in Midnight Suns and is one of the easier bosses. His passive is Join Us, which gives him a 50% chance after being melee attacked to gain Symbiote Skin and Bind the next melee attacker.
Here’s a concise strategy:
First Turn:
- Focus on Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hunter.
- Use Spider-Man’s Thwip! to apply bind on Venom.
- Use Hunter’s Quick Slash to KO one Hydra agent.
- Use Hunter’s Whip for a forceful knockback towards explosives.
- Use damage cards to lower Venom’s health.
Second Turn:
- KO the closest Venom agent using Spider-Man’s Quick Kick.
- Use Iron Man’s Blast on Venom for damage and knockback.
- Eliminate the second Hydra agent using Iron Man’s Quick Blast.
- If Hunter’s health is low, use the Heal card.
- Expect Venom to bind one of your characters.
Third Turn:
- Use Iron Man’s Surgical Strike on Venom.
- Try to redraw for Quick Blast to free Hunter.
- Hydra agents complete their turn, and Venom recovers.
Fourth Turn:
- Use Surgical Strike to deal heavy damage to Venom.
- Free Hunter with Quick Blast and let Spider-Man recover.
- Try to get Chain Strike from Spider-Man’s deck.
- Use Chain Strike on Venom and throw a nearby box at him.
Fifth Turn:
- Eliminate Hydra agents with KO and knockback cards.
- Deal high damage to Venom.
- If you lack highly damaging cards, discard until you get one.
- Be prepared for Venom’s heavy damage on his turn.
Sixth Turn:
- End the turn to remove stuns.
- Use Heal to restore Hunter’s health.
- Free the stuck character with a damaging card.
- Eliminate Hydra agents with AoE or knockback cards.
- Use high-damage cards to finish off Venom.
Keep in mind that Venom has multiple lives, so you may need to repeat these steps to defeat him.
Sabretooth

Victor Creed has always been at loggerheads with Wolverine, and it’s been the same here as well. You need to stay on your toes and plan your moves quickly. Sabretooth will not wait until your turn to launch his attacks, be vigilant. Therefore, you will be fighting Sabretooth with Wolverine alongside Hunter.
First Turn:
- Use Wolverine’s Chain Swipes on Sabretooth and nearby Hydra agents.
- Set knockback towards the agents for maximum damage.
- Use a damaging card on Sabretooth.
- Expect Sabretooth to attack one of your characters.
Second Turn:
- Use Wolverine’s Eviscerate for AoE damage.
- Try to get Chain Swipes if you don’t have it.
- Heal Wolverine with Hunter’s Heal or Wolverine’s Berserk for Lifesteal.
- Be prepared for Sabretooth’s early attack.
Third Turn:
- Use Hunter’s Heal on Wolverine.
- Use a card with knockback on Sabretooth.
- Target the weakest Hydra agent for elimination.
- Prepare for Sabretooth’s possible double attack.
Fourth Turn:
- Use Eviscerate again for damage to agents and Sabretooth.
- Use Hunter’s Quick Slash for damage.
- Revive Wolverine with Berserk for Lifesteal.
- Finish off Sabretooth with knockback or explosives.
Fifth Turn:
- Use Chain Swipe to KO all three Hydra agents.
- Focus on knockback attacks on Sabretooth.

Crossbones

Crossbones is another one of the early bosses you must fight. You will face him as you deal with Hydra forces. The first attack against Crossbones will activate his Hydra Shield, which will provide Block for the rest of the turn. However, if you reduce it to zero, he will become vulnerable. The team composition you should have for the fight is Iron Man, Hunter, and Captain America.
Make use of the several explosives placed conveniently around the roof for added damage, and spam quick attacks to ensure you get in as many hits as possible. Try and save Iron Man’s high-damage cards for last. So, you can utilize your AOE attacks to deal with the agents while damaging Crossbones as well. - Use Hunter’s Quick Slash to KO an agent and move out of the grenade’s range.
- Use Captain America’s Tactician for Block.
- Use Iron Man’s Surgical Strike for AoE damage.
- Move Iron Man away from Crossbones and end the turn.
Third Turn:
- Use Hunter’s Slash to KO an agent.
- Move any hero in the grenade’s proximity out with a damaging card on Crossbones.
- Use all available damaging cards on Crossbones.
- Prepare for Crossbones’ retaliation, possibly knocking down Captain America.
Fourth Turn:
- Use Hunter’s damaging card to KO an agent.
- Use Iron Man’s Quick Blast to KO Crossbones.
- Move any hero in grenade proximity.
- Use a damaging card to eliminate the last agent and end the turn.
Fifth Turn:
- Use Offensive Rush to boost all heroes’ Offense.
- Use Hunter’s Slash for double damage through knockback.
- Choose to KO agents or knock back Crossbones into the explosion zone.
- End the turn, anticipate Crossbones targeting Hunter.
Sixth Turn:
- Use Surgical Strike to finish off Crossbones.
Fallen Scarlet Witch

She’s a Support hero with AoE skills, targeting multiple heroes. Her Hex ability may remove a random card from your hero’s hand when attacked, disabling it temporarily. Confuse forces heroes to play cards randomly; consider redrawing cards for affected heroes.
Unlock Unleash for Scarlet Witch to boost her AoE abilities by 40% and gain Heroism. Use it with AoE abilities for maximum early damage. Hex Mark card marks all enemies for 2-3 turns.
To defeat her, your team should include Nico, Hunter, and Magik.
First Turn:
- Use Hunter’s Quick Slash for high damage.
- Use a knockback card on Scarlet Witch for double damage.
- Apply Nico’s Curse card on Scarlet Witch for extra damage.
- End the turn while being mindful of Chaos Field’s confusion effect.
Second Turn:
- Continue to focus on damaging Scarlet Witch.

You would never think Bruce Banner would be someone you would have to be up against. However, after defeating Crossbones, we realize that Bruce Banner has been inflicted by Lilith. Fallen Hulk has infinite lives in the battle, so you cannot really defeat him. Therefore, the goal is to survive for as long as possible.
First Turn:
- Focus on dealing damage to Hulk and his minions.
- Use a knockback card on a minion, directing it towards Hulk for extra damage.
- Alternate heroes to maximize damage to Hulk.
- Consider using Ghost Rider’s Drain Soul to target Hulk’s minions.
Second Turn:
- If possible, use a card like Quick Blast to KO a minion and get a card play refund.
- Heal Hunter with Holy Flame if needed.
- Use Hell Ride or another AoE card to eliminate the minions.
- End the turn after dealing with the minions.
Third Turn:
- Utilize Iron Man’s Blast for a knockback, damaging Hulk.
- Use Ghost Rider’s Lash on Hulk, directing the knockback towards an object.
- Focus on dealing multiple damage to Hulk.
- Consider playing Drain Soul or another AoE card for additional damage.
Remember that in this battle, you can’t defeat Hulk but aim to survive and deal as much damage as possible. Rotate between heroes to maximize damage and prioritize taking down Hulk’s minions. Using abilities with health steal can help your team stay alive longer.
The Dark Hunter
Before the final battle, you’ll face Hunter, controlled by Chthon, a tough boss in Midnight Suns. To succeed, balance offense and defense. Chthon has also bound strong heroes, so free Hunter using remaining heroes.Hulk and Captain Marvel are available; utilize their AoE damage against Hunter and Shadowhounds. Align foes for Captain Marvel’s Photon Beam to counter Shadowhounds’ constant attacks.
Captain Marvel’s Go Binary card blocks multiple enemies. Hulk deals essential damage. This leads to the second phase of the final boss fight.
First Turn:
- Use AoE attacks to target both Fallen Hunter and the minions.
- Alternatively, focus damaging cards on Hunter alone and end the turn.
- Be prepared for Hunter’s vengeance if he’s attacked without stunning him.
Second Turn:
- Position Captain Marvel to line up with multiple minions.
- Use Photon Beam to KO multiple minions and damage Hunter.
- Use a card to eliminate one more minion and damage Hunter.
- If available, use Go Binary to protect Captain Marvel.
Third Turn:
- Redraw cards if necessary to obtain Photon Beam.
- Line up Captain Marvel for maximum minion hits.
- Use Photon Beam on minions for multiple KOs.
- Use Hulk’s Rampage or damaging cards on Hunter.
- Revive heroes if needed.
Fourth Turn:
- Use a knockback card on Fallen Hunter for multiple damage.

- Scarlet Witch is less effective here due to enemies’ immunity to Corrupted.
2. Use Iron Man’s Air Superiority:
- Employ Iron Man’s Air Superiority to quickly dispatch smaller enemies.
- This will allow you to concentrate on the more challenging infested enemies.
3. Utilize Hunter’s Bladestorm:
- Hunter’s Bladestorm is excellent for dealing with grouped Lilin enemies.
- Use it strategically to clear out clusters of enemies effectively.
4. Collect Establish Seal Cards:
- You’ll need a total of four Establish Seal cards to complete the seal and defeat Chthon.
- These cards drop from infested enemies in each wave.
5. Seal Chthon:
- After obtaining the Establish Seal cards, use them to build Celestial Seals.
- These seals will help bind Chthon’s dark powers.
6. Unlock Heroes:

- After unlocking all four seals, you’ll obtain the Complete Seal card.
- Use this card to seal Chthon and trigger the ending scene.

Here are some handy tips that will help you in staying one step ahead of your enemies and keep your team at the maximum potential!
Spam Quick Attacks
Certain abilities with the label quick can be found in the decks of damage-oriented characters. Compared to most of the hero’s other skills, these assaults, which vary from mild punches to repulsor blasts, cause little damage. However, they will immediately kill any grunts without health bars on the battlefield.
Build A Balanced Deck
Build heroism, unlock your finest techniques, and engage your enemy by using strikes that are simple to execute but do little damage from your deck. You will never find yourself with a complete hand you can’t play because you can’t muster up enough heroism to unleash it if you make sure every character has weak, mid-level, and high-level strikes available.
Don’t Waste Opportunities
If you play a lot of environmental damage attacks, your heroism level will be perpetually low, forcing you to use low-damage attacks. Save your heroism instead of using it on environmental weapons unless your opponent is near death or there is a chance to attack multiple opponents simultaneously.
