To navigate the abandoned Lanayru mine in the depths:

- Follow the Lightroots’ route through the Chasm for easier navigation.
- Proceed to the northern side where Zora statues guide the way to Zora’s domain.
- Travel northeast to reach the enemy’s location.
- Use the Zora statues to locate the abandoned Lanayru mine and confront Master Kohga.
- Beware of two accompanying Yiga clan members with long-range attacks.
- Upon defeating Master Kohga, he flees to the abandoned Hebra Mine for the next encounter.
What Is The Abandoned Lanayru Mine
One of the major mines in Tears of the Kingdom is the abandoned Lanayru mine.
You will be required to find the mine if you want to battle against Master Kohga and defeat him for exclusive rewards.- However, the mine is located in depth, and you will have a lot of trouble finding the mine even if you are following the quest marker.
- You will want to find the abandoned Lanayru mine if you want to complete the Master Kohga of the Yiga clan side quest.
- However, before you start, make sure that you have bright bloom seeds in your inventory since you will be exploring the dark depths between the routes, which can be quite challenging.
How To Get To Lanayru Mine
There are a series of steps that you will have to follow if you want to know how to get to Lanayru mine tears of the Kingdom. First, make sure that you have completed the abandoned Gerudo mine and explored it, as well as finished the mystery in-depth objective before you look for the Lanayru mine.
Going To The Lanayru Wetlands Chasm
While the coordinates to Master Kohga’s location are 3304, 0555, and – 0750, I will recommend taking on the route I have mentioned below in order to get there easily.
This is also one of the fastest routes that will help you save a lot of time and finish the Master Kohga of the Yiga clan quest quickly.- The first step in my guide on how to get to the Lanayru Mine in Tears of the Kingdom is to travel to the Lanayru Wetlands chasm.
- After you have successfully completed the abandoned Gerudo mine, go back to the surface area.
- From here, you have to keep moving forward until you’ll find an area where you can drop down into a chasm underneath.
- From here, you just need to locate the Lanayru wetlands chasm.
- This Chasm can be found on Mercay Island.
- To get to it, you will have to explore the northern side of the Lanayru wetlands region.
Exploring The Chasm
Now that you have successfully made your way into the Chasm, you will have to move towards the southern direction. Keep moving forward from the area you dropped down until you find a Lightroot.
This is a Usanoj Lightroot, and it will help you out a lot while exploring the Chasm.
- From here, you will have to head in the eastern direction.
- You would be looking for a couple of statues that will lead you into the mine.
- There will be a Uinoj Lightroot as well towards the southern sides of the Akkala plains chasm.
- As soon as you unlock it, you will find another one located in the southwestern direction.
- Keep moving in the northeastern direction until you come across a small workshop.
- Keep an eye out near the Zora statues, as you will find another Lightroot called Sekioam light root.
- Here you will be able to move towards the northern direction and follow the statues.
Entering Zora’s Domain
Next, you will have to keep moving forward to the north side until you reach Zora’s domain.
This region is located underneath a couple of mountains.- You will also see a huge cave opening after a bit of exploring.
- Before you go forward, make sure to unlock the Uinoj Lightroot located in the area.
- Keep moving in the northeastern direction from this point.
- Now you will have to make your way toward a ledge that will take you toward the Eastern direction of the map.
- Soon you will find itself directly under Zora’s domain.
- On your way, make sure that you unlock the Kawagom Lightroot to unlock a travel point and light up the whole area.
- As soon as you have activated the Lightroot, you need to keep moving forward and make your way toward the Zonai device to fight Master Kohga.
Carry The Bright Bloom Seeds
Now that you have learned how to get to Lanayru Mine in Tears of the Kingdom, it’s also important to keep a few things in mind before you start your adventure.
I highly recommend not following the quest marker, as finding the abandoned Lanayru mine can be quite time-consuming through this method.- During your adventure, make sure to carry as much bright bloom seeds in your inventory as possible.
- Furthermore, it is also important to stack up on consumables because you will be facing a lot of enemies on your way.
- Keep an eye out for the gloom as well. Make sure not to step on them if you want to avoid getting your health drained.
- Furthermore, in case you don’t have enough bright blooms, you can always use different abilities like lightning ability, Gerudo champion ability, or the sage ability to get a sense of your environment and avoid any enemies and obstacles.
Fighting Master Kohga
Now that you have finally reached the abandoned Lanayru mine, your next step will be to find Master Kohga.
As soon as you find him, you will realize that he will be on a certain type of boat that he can move around. He will be dealing with attacks from this boat and will also have two members of the Yiga clan beside him.- These two members of the Yiga clan will be using bows to deal with attacks.
- However, they won’t require much damage, and you can finish them off quickly with just a few long-ranged attacks.
- Now you need to find a way to get to Master Kohga.
- For that, you will have to go to the docks of the abandoned Lanayru mine.
- There will be a lot of boats for you to use in this area, so grab any one of them and quickly set sail.
- As soon as you reach Master Kohga, make sure to avoid any incoming arrows shot at you by the Yiga clan.
- I would recommend taking down the Yiga Clan before jumping onto Master Kohga’s raft.
Defeating Master Kohga
After you have defeated Master Kohga and Yiga clan members, they will spawn again to use the same move set and attacks against you.
Like before, make sure to take down the Yiga clan members before jumping onto the raft and destroying Master Kohga.- After Master Kohga reaches around 50% of his health, the second phase of the fight will begin.
- Now he will have a shield protecting his boat, and his attacks will be much more aggressive.
- In this phase of the fight, I would recommend using your recall ability as Master Kohga will be throwing a lot of huge rocks at you that can cause quite damage.
- The shield is temporary, and you can dodge the attacks by using recall to send the boulders back.
- Doing so will stun Master Kohga short period of time, and the Yiga Clan members will also stop attacking.
- Make sure to defeat them quickly; otherwise, they will spawn again.
- After Master Kohga’s health is depleted, he will run off, and you will have to find him again.
Going To The Abandoned Hebra Mine
As soon as you defeat Master Kohga, he will run off once more.
If you follow him, you will reach a treasure chest in the area that you can open to find a crystallized charge.- You will also see a steward construct in the area that you need to interact with before moving forward.
- Additionally, the steward construct will tell you that you will be able to go to the abandoned Hebra mine to find Master Kohga.
- Furthermore, he will also tell you that you will have to find a chasm that will lead you directly into the mine.
- After that, you will be able to come across a schema stone that will help you unlock the bolt boat item in the auto-build registry and use it in your future adventures.
