How To Find Hoarfrost Stomp Ash Of War In Elden Ring?
Elden Ring gives a huge variety of weapons, shields, armor sets, and spells. Many people before patch 1.03 used Hoarfrost Stomp to cheese Malenia, Godskin Duo, and many other bosses in the game. After the update, the skill is nerfed slightly but it is still pretty effective.
You can find this Ash of War in the Carian Manor located in the Liurnia of the Lakes, on the northern side. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get to the Hoarfrost Stomp’s location.
Crossing Liurnia Of The Lakes Location
Finding the Liurnia of the lakes can be quite hard as there are two routes you can take to reach Liurnia. While one is hidden and you can access it anytime, the other route is a challenging one.
One way to Liurnia of the Lakes is through the Stormveil Castle.
- You will have to fight Margit the Fell Omen, who guards the entrance of the Stormveil Castle.
- Not only this, but you will also have to face Godrick the Grafted as you will have to leave through the Lake Facing Cliffs entrance in order to reach Liurnia of the Lakes.
The other route is probably the best one to reach Liurnia of the Lakes.
- This path lies on the right side of the castle and is a hidden one. The only challenge here is finding it.
- Start your journey from the Stormhill shack and head north.
- Move straight ahead on your Torrent horse under the bridge, and you will find another bridge.
Crossing both bridges, you will find a path on the Cliffside. Moving past the wolves, you will find yourself near the Lake Facing Cliffs Site of Grace. This is how you will reach Liurnia of the Lakes to get to the location of the Hoarfrost Stomp in Elden Ring.
Reaching Caria Manor Location
- Start from the Liurnia Lakeshore Site of Lost Grace.
- Head northwest through Laskyar Ruins and Boilprawn Shack.
- Reach the Rose Church, then Temple Quarter, and exit the swamp heading west.
- Walk along the northern side, passing the “Foot of the Four Belfries” Site of Lost Grace.
- Continue north to find a bonfire on Liurnia Lakeshore.
- Proceed through Kingsrealm Ruins, uncover the illusory wall, and reach the Road of Manor Sight of Lost Grace.
- Head northwest to finally reach the main gate of Caria Manor, where the Hoarfrost Stomp awaits in Elden Ring
Obtaining Hoarfrost Stomp Near Caria Manor
You can find the Hoarfrost Stomp Ash Of War in the middle of the Caria Manor and the Royal Grave Evergaol. Hoarfrost Stomp Ash of War is rewarded after killing the invisible scarab that runs with white footprints in the water to the southeastern side of Caria Manor. This Ash of War skill is dropped by the Teardrop Scarab lurking in the shallow lake.
You will see some frozen footsteps on the top of the lake. Follow and memorize these roaming footsteps as they have a scripted path. Attack the moving target, and an invisible Scarab will drop when you hit it. Timing is really crucial here, and if you manage to miss, you will have to wait for them to pass you again until the next attack.
You can easily defeat these creatures; they don’t have a lot of Vigor. Ranged weapon attacks or melee attacks are recommended here. After you’ve defeated them, they will drop the Hoarfrost Stomp Ash of war before they disappear.
