Bastard’s Stars is an exceptional Flail in Elden Ring with a unique, ethereal design. To obtain it, you’ll need to defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, which is an optional boss fight that’s part of the Elden Ring Ranni questline.
Astel is located in a concealed area, so you’ll need to go through a long and thrilling quest to reach this boss. Keep in mind that this boss is not required to beat the game unless you’re aiming for the Age of the Stars ending.

Maliketh’s Black Blade promises destined death to anyone who opposes you, similar to how Melina puts it by the end of the Lord of the Frenzied Flame. This Colossal Sword favors Strength, Faith, and Dexterity builds, making it a great choice if you specialize in those attributes.
- The skill is highly effective when dealing with groups of enemies.
- It covers a decent radius when executed, making it suitable for crowd control.
- Although you can’t change the Black Blade’s Ash of War skill, you can upgrade it to higher levels for improved performance.

- Why I Chose This: The versatility this weapon provides and the effective control capabilities.
The Giant’s Red Braid is a Whip-type armament with a bewildering weapon art called Flame Dance. The Flame Dance takes you on a rollercoaster of swinging strikes, imbued with the flame of vengeance. It covers a wide area and is perfect for situations where you’re absolutely surrounded from all sides.
- Some experienced players who have had their fair share of run-ins with finding Malenia and going up against her have a lot to say about the Giant’s Red Braid.
- It’s been said that this hefty Whip can stagger the Rot Goddess with its aforementioned weapon art called Flame Dance, especially when the last strike registers.
- This is definitely one good way of taking down what is otherwise one of the toughest bosses unless you’re using a cheese method.
As for the way you acquire this weapon, you need to take down the Fire Giant. I do recommend picking up some of the best bleed weapons out in the Lands Between for an effective chance at taking the boss down. If not, some robust talismans will definitely do the job.
Oh, and one last thing. You’ll find the Fire Giant in the Mountaintops of the Giants region, so make sure you know how to get there.
- Flame dance skill allows for covering a wider area.
- Deals fire damage.
- Low guard effectiveness.

The Winged Greathorn is another outstanding Remembrance weapon in Elden Ring. You obtain this formidable Greataxe after defeating the Regal Ancestor Spirit. The boss fight takes place in Nokron, Eternal City, which is a hidden area in the Lands Between.

- Why I Chose This: The effective crowd control capability this provides with its skill.
The Axe of Godrick in Elden Ring is a formidable Remembrance weapon suitable for a melee build. Its major weapon art, “I Command Thee, Kneel,” is a powerful yet slower move with a three-strike ground slam that emits shockwaves, providing effective crowd control.
While it may not be among the most legendary weapons in the game due to its performance in both Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE) situations, it is undeniably fun to use. Trading the Remembrance of the Grafted to acquire the Axe of Godrick gives you a weapon with a unique blend of power and speed.
- High physical attack power.
- Moderate damage negation.
- No elemental damage.
14. Axe of Godfrey
Type | Attack type | Skills | FP Cost | Weight | Sell Price |
Colossal | Standard | Regal Roar | N/A | 18 | 100 |

Physical | Magic | Fire | Lightning | Holy | Guard Boost |
60 | 45 | 45 | 45 | 45 | 40 |
- Why I Chose This: The effectiveness this weapon provides when going up against multiple enemies.
The Axe of Godfrey is an impressive weapon with a robust moveset and a powerful Ash of War skill. It scales well with both Dexterity and Strength, but it does require a substantial amount of Strength for the player to wield it effectively.
- The main weapon art of the Axe of Godfrey is called “Regal Roar.”
- It involves smashing the potent axe into the ground, creating a powerful shockwave that can topple multiple nearby enemies.
- While this skill move is somewhat slow, it excels at pressuring and dealing with groups of foes, especially when paired with the Bloodhound’s Step Ash of War.
To obtain the Axe of Godfrey, you’ll need to face Godfrey, First Elden Lord, in Leyndell, Ashen Capital. Make sure to come prepared for the battle and consider using powerful talismans like the Radagon Icon.
- Can handle multiple enemies.
- High physical attack power.
- High strength requirement.

25 | 15 | 15 | 15 | 15 | 15 |
- Why I Chose This: The offensive versatility and defensive capability this weapon provides.
The Carian Regal Scepter is an exceptional piece of equipment in Elden Ring. It is essentially a Glintstone Staff that was once wielded by Rennala, the Queen of the Full Moon.
- Players who prioritize leveling up their Intelligence attribute will find the Carian Regal Scepter to be an excellent choice.
- However, it’s worth noting that this Glintstone Staff requires a high 60 points in the Intelligence attribute, so it’s essential to plan your character build accordingly.
To obtain this weapon, you’ll need to face one of the major boss fights in Elden Ring, which is Rennala, the Queen of the Full Moon. Defeating her will grant you her Remembrance, which can be traded with Enia at the Roundtable Hold to obtain the Carian Regal Scepter.
- Enhanced offensive capabilities.
- Low weight.
- High intelligence requirements.
My Thoughts
Among all 15 remembrance weapons in Elden Ring, I think Maliketh’s Black Blade takes the throne for being the best one. The weapon is great for shredding bosses as its Ash of War does percentage base damage, which is the most viable type in the late game.
After defeating Maliketh, The Black Blade, I instantly used its remembrance to get the weapon and upgraded it to the max level. The other weapon I use the most is Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear, as it deals with blood loss damage, and it has a really long range, too.
