Hogwarts Legacy: The Helm Of Urtkot Quest [Walkthrough]

In order to progress through the main story in Hogwarts Legacy, the players will have to complete a lot of main story quests as well as side quests. One such quest is the Helm of Urtkot which is a main story quest in Hogwarts Legacy. In the quest, we will have to help a goblin called Lodgok find an item. The quest is pretty long, but the rewards at the end of the quest that the players will get are definitely worth it. Helm of Urtkot is the 23rd main quest in the storyline of Hogwarts Legacy. 

Starting The Helm Of Urtkot Quest 

One of the earliest main story missions that the players will be able to complete as soon as the fall term starts in Hogwarts Legacy is the Helm of Urtkot quest. They can start it as soon as they complete the first Keeper Trial in the game.

In order to start the quest, the players will first have to go to the Hogsmeade, which is one of the main attraction points for the faculty and students at Hogwarts. Then they will be required to go to the Three Broomsticks and speak with an NPC called Sirona Ryan. When you speak with Sirona Ryan, you will come to know about a certain goblin who she interacted with a few days back. 

Your next step will be to find the goblin. And for that, you will have to go to the Hog’s Head Inn Tavern. As soon as you are done talking with Sirona, the main mission called the Helm of Urtkot will get activated. 

Finding Lodgok

• Leave the 3 Broomsticks area and head southwest towards Hog’s Head Inn.
• The distance from 3 Broomsticks is around 80 to 85 meters, taking approximately 3 minutes.
• Upon reaching Hog’s Head Inn, open the door and head to the left side to find the goblin at a table.
• Talk to the goblin and discuss Sirona to gain his trust.
• The goblin reveals information about the secret goblin relic and the Helmet you need to find.
• He shares a long-standing plan to learn about Ranrok’s plans, requiring the sacred goblin relic, which you’ll help him find

Going To The Witch’s Tomb 

Next, the players will end their conversation with the goblin, and he will ask to meet them outside a certain area called the Witch’s Tomb. 

After your conversation, head northwest to the Collector’s Cave. Follow the highlighted yellow path on the map or use the Collector’s Cave Floo Flame location for convenience. You’ll find the goblin waiting outside a wooden door in the open fields. Follow him to the witch’s tomb, the Collector’s Cave, where you can enter. The goblin will ask you to retrieve a specific Helmet from inside and wait for your return. Press F to enter the Collectors Cave.

Searching The Tomb 

The next part of the quest is quite lengthy, as you will have to go through 4 Moth Doors to progress in the quest. As soon as you enter the Cave, go further down the slope and turn left from here. You will see a certain door on the right side, and there will be some moth symbols engraved on that door.

The door will be initially locked, and you will have to unlock it by using a certain spell. There will be three moth symbols engraved on the door. Two of them will already be in their place. However, you will have to search for the third one. 

Door #1 

The moth that will be required for the third symbol will be located nearby. Look in the opposite direction of the door, and you will soon find it near some plants. In order to attract the moth towards the door, you will have to use a spell called the Lumos spell. Keep guiding the moth toward the symbol, and you will be able to unlock the door. You will have to repeat this for the other doors as well.

In case the door is hidden or the moth is in the dark, then you can use the Revelio spell to reveal them. As soon as you open the door, you will see a curved path going from here. Go straight and take a sharp left from this area. After some time, you will come across another door. Only this time, all three moths will be missing from the allocated symbols, and you will have to find them all. 

Door #2 

In order to search for the moths for the second door in the Witch’s Tomb, you will have to explore the area a bit. Go towards the center of the area, and you will soon come across a certain grave here. In this area, you will be able to find two moths and guide them toward the door by using the Lumos spell again.

In order to look for the last one, you would have to search for a door. The door will be cracked, and you will have to use a spell called Depulso to unlock the door.

Now use the Lumos spell again to attract the moth and guide them toward the last symbol. As soon as you are done with it and enter the second moth door, you will learn that you are not the only one who is currently present in the Cave.

After progressing further, you will come across some enemies called Inferi. These can be only counted with fire and can take quite a lot of time for you to defeat. Fortunately for the players, there will be some explosive barrels nearby. In order to make use of them, you will have to use your magic spells to lift them and throw them at in fairy.

Furthermore, you will also be able to damage them by using different spells like Confringo. Don’t forget to use the Protego spell as well, which will grant you protection from these enemies.

Door #3 

Similar to other doors, this door will also have three moth symbols, which means you will have to find three moths and guide them to the door in order to unlock it. The first moth is quite nearby. You just have to look to your left, and you will find it fluttering nearby.

Use Lumos spell again, and it will attract the moth so that you will be able to guide him towards that door. Now for the next one, you will have to go right from here. However, you will have to first make use of the moth to get the last one. You will see a certain statue or symbol in the area where the third door is currently in. This statue has the last moth inside it.

You will need to use the second month and bring it here and insert it to open the statue. Use the spell called Depulso, and the statue will start rotating. After that, you will be able to get the third moth from here and guide them towards the door to unlock it. From here, keep walking forward and turn sharp left.

After that, you will soon come across a certain opening in the game. Here you will see a wooden crate that is being held by a rope in the center of the room. In case you are unable to see it, then you can use the Revelio spell to reveal it. Now you can use a spell to break the pulley so that the crate will come falling down and create an opening for you in the underground.

Entering the underground opening is optional but provides extra items. Use Depulso to open the door and proceed until you reach water. Check your map and head east to find a locked door on the right side. Use Accio to unlock it. Continue forward, jump into another opening, and head west to face more enemies.

Door #4 

Keep moving forward, and you will soon come across the last door in the area. This door is way more complex to open as time will be a crucial factor when unlocking the door. For this door, you will have to find four moths in the surrounding area and guide them toward the door to open it to complete the Helm Of Urtkot quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

You’ll need to cast the spell several times to access the opening. Next, find the last moth in the area and attract it to the door using Lumos. Use Depulso on the statue 2-3 times before it closes. There’s another moth nearby, so you can attract both at once. Lastly, use Lumos and Depulso simultaneously to find the last moth.

However, you won’t find the Helmet in the tomb, only a dead Ashwinder. Exit the Cave through a nearby small door and return to Lodgok

Encountering The Thieves 

Go to Lodgok and tell him about the Helmet. He will tell you that you will need to go to the Ashwinder Campsite to recover the Helmet. You can use your broom to reach the area faster. After that, you will have to defeat all enemies in this area to recover the Helmet.

After getting the Helmet, go back to Lodgok and give him the relic. The mission will conclude at this point, and you will learn some important information from Lodgok.
