Lost Ark Salt Giant: Location, Fight & Loot

The Salt Giant is found in the Saland Hill area of Lost Ark.. It is located in the central part of the area. You will find the Saland Hills on the Aregal Salt Plains. If you’re going through the area, chances are you might not find Salt Giant there to fight. That is because the Salt Giant, like other World Bosses, spawns every 30 minutes.

Salt Giant’s Spawn Location

If you come to the spawn area and the Salt Giant is nowhere to be found, then you have two options. You will have to wait for Salt Giant to respawn so you can kill it and progress further in the story.

While you’re waiting for the Salt Giant to respawn, make sure that you’re hanging around in the spawn area. That way, when the Salt Giant respawns, you’ll be there to fight it before some other player comes and steals your turn.

You can change to another channel if you don’t want to wait for another 30 minutes to fight the Salt Giant. There, check out if the Salt Giant has spawned so you can fight it. To check, the gound will have a red mark that indicates that the Salt Giant is near. Go to him and fight him.

Strategy to Defeat Salt Giant

The Salt Giant is a level 19 boss. But don’t let that deceive you; he is still a powerful boss, as he is one of the ‘World Bosses’. Don’t compare this world boss to regular bosses of dungeons and islands. 

• Salt Giant’s attacks are frontal, so attacking from behind is possible, but it’s a long fight due to his 10 Million HP.
• Don’t rush; take your time as Salt Giant’s attacks lack stuns or debuffs, and he’s slow.
• The best strategy is to fight in a party to avoid being the sole focus and to attack from behind while he targets others.

Attacks

Salt Giant has large AoE attacks, and if you fail to dodge them, the salt giant can take you out in a few hits. Before the fight, you should read their detail, so you’re ready to dodge them even before the fight starts.

• Ground Pounce: During the attack, Salt Giant will wind up and then punch the ground.
• Salt Rain: A red AOE circle appears around Salt Giant. In the circle, large chunks of salt rocks will rain down.
• Salt Sprinkler: Using this attack, Salt Giant will outstretch his palm. From his palm, he will shoot a spray of salt. The salt does residual damage to the player.
• Swiping Punch: It is the basic melee attack of Salt Giant. During the attack, he winds up and then swings his fist in the air in front of him.

Ability

Salt Giant uses a special ability. The ability is known as Damage Amplification. As the name suggests, the ability is a buff that increases Salt Giant’s attack damage. But it also increases the damage received by 6 percent.

These are the Attacks and Abilities used by Salt Giant. Anyways, before you start the fight, make sure to Increase All Virtues of your character to have an easy time fighting him. If your level is way above Salt Giant, then taking him Solo won’t be a problem.
