Lies Of P: How To Unlock And Upgrade The Noblesse Oblige?

Learn all about the Noblesse Oblige in Lies of P with info on its stats and how you can obtain and upgrade this late-game special weapon.

In Lies of P Noblesse Oblige is one of the best Motivity weapons you can get, thanks to its generous attribute scaling. The Oblige is a late-game special weapon, and depending on the ending you get, you can trade it for either your last or second-last Rare Ergo. Given its stats and versatility, this is a weapon I would definitely recommend to Strength builds starting NG+.

Key Takeaways
  • The Noblesse Oblige is a powerful late-game special weapon in Lies of P that players can obtain after trading the Fallen One’s Ergo with Alidoro or Explorer Hugo in Hotel Krat.
  • To get the Fallen One’s Ergo, however, they must defeat Simon Manus, Awakened God, who’s the main boss at the end of Chapter 11.
  • The Noblesse Oblige is primarily a Motivity-scaling weapon, and its top features include its range and damage output.
  • However, the weapon is considerably heavy, and its Normal and Charged attacks are slow.
  • Players can upgrade the Noblesse Oblige to +5 from Eugenie at Hotel Krat using Ergo, Dark Moon Moonstone, and Full Moonstone of the Covenant.

How To Get The Noblesse Oblige In Lies Of P?

Players can obtain the Noblesse Oblige by visiting Alidoro/Explorer Hugo at Hotel Krat and trading the Fallen One’s Ergo that they can receive after killing Simon Manus, Awakened God.

As a late-game special weapon, getting the Noblesse Oblige is considerably challenging, as you can only get it after you kill Simon Manus, Awakened God. You can find Simon just beyond the Arche Abbey Cradle of the Gods Stargazer in Chapter 11. After defeating the boss, you’ll receive the Fallen One’s Ergo. Head back to Hotel Krat, visit Alidoro or Explorer Hugo, and trade the Ergo for the Noblesse Oblige.

Suggestion: Getting the Noblesse Oblige will bar you from trading the Ergo for the Awakened God’s Amulet, which increases Fable Arts damage inflicted on a Staggered enemy. If you’re a Technique build, I would suggest picking the Amulet over the Oblige.

Of course, like the Noblesse Oblige, you can read the Boss Weapons ranking guide, curated by our guides expert, Atik Younis, to see which other Rare Ergo you should trade for weapons over amulets.

Noblesse Oblige Stats And Abilities

Base Physical ATK 186
Charge Pulse Cells 16.15
Fable Charge 569
Attribute Scaling Motivity: A | Technique: D
Damage Reduction Rate While Guarding 69.90
Weapon Blade Fable Art Ergo Release (3 Fable Charges)
Weapon Handle Fable Art Endure (1 Fable Charge)
Weight 24.7

As mentioned, the Noblesse Oblige is primarily a Motivity Weapon that’s suited for Strength builds thanks to its insane damage and range. It’s one of the few weapons with A-rank Motivity scaling, so you can significantly raise its damage output by leveling up its corresponding attribute. The Oblige does also have D-tier Technique scaling, but in my experience, you can find much better Technique weapons in Lies of P.

  • The attack pattern of your Normal Attacks is 1 swing followed by consecutive Ground Slams until your Stamina runs out.
  • Similarly, the Noblesse Oblige’s Charge Attack is just 1 chargeable horizontal swing.
  • For its Fable Arts, the Oblige’s Weapon Blade uses 3 Fable Charges to perform a wide-range downward blow.
  • Furthermore, this Fable Art can also consume some Ergo to raise its damage output.
  • The weapon Handle’s Fable Art, Endure, uses 1 Fable Charge to raise your poise and make you withstand enemy attacks.

Upgrade Path

Like most special weapons, upgrading the Noblesse Oblige from Eugenie only enhances its Physical ATK. Of course, if you have high Motivity, the damage bonus you get for each upgrade will be much higher, so the base and peak damage of this weapon may vary.

My Experience And Tips

As a Technique build, I personally didn’t find the Noblesse Oblige all that useful since it’s fairly slow, extremely heavy, and doesn’t scale with my primary attribute. However, for Motivity builds, I find it the ideal weapon to use as players start up NG+.

For players looking to use the Oblige, I would recommend equipping the Patience Amulet as it would significantly raise your Stamina Recovery speed, enabling you to keep pressure on the enemy constantly. I’d also encourage using the Arm of God Amulet, as it can give you damage boosts with successive attacks, a feature the Noblesse Oblige excels in.

That wraps up my Noblesse Oblige Lies of P guide, covering its location, stats, and upgrade path. As mentioned, this weapon isn’t for every build or playstyle, but for players looking for maximum damage and stagger buildup, there’s no better choice.
