Remnant 2: PC System Requirements [Min & Max]

Remnant 2 lets players embark on a journey to fight off the monstrous Root, either solo or with friends, but you need to know if your PC meets the official requirements. Remnant 2 is slated for release on the 25th of July, 2023. Upon release, it will be available on multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

These specifications are the bare minimum your system will need to be able to run Remnant 2. Meeting these requirements will ensure that Remnant 2 is playable, but I believe it may not run optimally, and you may need to adjust graphics settings to achieve a smoother performance.

These recommended specs will allow Remnant 2 to run more smoothly and at higher settings, enabling you to fully enjoy Remnant 2’s detailed environments and dynamic action. Based on my experience going through Remnant 1 extensively with the recommended hardware requirements, I maintained well above 60 fps on Ultra Settings, so I think these settings will easily give stable performance.

How To Get The Best Out of Remnant 2

Here are the specifications to get the best out of Remnant 2:

• Operating System: Windows 10 – This is the latest widely-used Microsoft OS, supporting The Remnant 2’s graphical and processing demands.
• Processor: Intel i5-10600k or AMD R5 3600 – These are mid-to-high-end CPUs from Intel and AMD, capable of handling complex calculations and multi-threaded tasks that games like Remnant 2 require for fluid gameplay and AI computations.
• Memory: 16 GB RAM – A significant amount of RAM is essential to ensure smooth performance, especially for games with high-quality graphics and large, detailed environments like Remnant 2. This memory size will comfortably handle Remnant 2’s requirements and facilitate quick data access.

Storage Requirements For Remnant 2

For Remnant 2, you’re required to have at least 80GB of available space, which includes the base game and any additional data files necessary for Remnant 2 to function properly. This requirement of 80GB represents a significant increase from the original game, Remnant: From the Ashes, which required 40GB of space.

In my opinion, the increased storage requirement for the sequel suggests enhanced graphical content, more expansive game maps, and potentially additional gameplay features that contribute to a larger file size.

Frame Rate Expectations

However, as of the time of writing, the specific target frame rate for Remnant 2 has not been officially announced by Gunfire Games or listed on Remnant 2’s Steam page. Remnant 2 is expected to support a standard of 60 frames per second, potentially utilizing upscaling techniques to reach a 4K resolution.
