The best way to utilize it is to use it to the fullest in the early stages of the game and discard it as your game progresses. Keeping it would be an unwise decision as there are better staff than the meteorite staff in the latter half.

Alternative Staffs

When choosing a Staff in Elden Ring there are other good options to consider but, I chose not to add them for specific reasons.

Gelmir Glintstone Staff: It is a good hybrid intelligence and faith staff but it has a minor scaling in strength.
Staff of Loss: Boost spells that cause an attack impossible to predict but this attack is much less damaging.
Albinauric Staff: It scales with both Intelligence and Arcane but it is outclassed by the other staffs.
Carian Glintblade Staff: It has a passive that boosts the effectiveness of Glintblade spells but it only has a C rank in intelligence scaling.
