While most fighting games have normalized an equal health pool for all their fighters, SF6 remains one of the genre’s few mainstream titles with varying health values for some characters. Despite the health meter’s similar appearance amongst the cast, it doesn’t display the exact values, leading most players to pick a main without considering a significant factor – the character’s maximum HP.
- A character’s health value at the top bar defines their max health at the start of each round.
- The standard HP for most characters in Street Fighter 6 is 10000, which includes Ken, Ryu, Jamie, Luke, Cammy, Chun Li, Juri, Dee Jay, Lily, Dhalsim, Kimberly, Guile, Blanka, and Manon.
- However, both E.Honda and Marisa have 10500 HP, compensating for their lack of long-range combat options.
- Zangief has a total HP of 11000, making him have the highest health out of all the fighters in the game.
CHARACTER | MAXIMUM HP |
---|---|
Zangief | 11000 |
Marisa | 10500 |
E.Honda | 10500 |
Ryu | 10000 |
Ken | 10000 |
Luke | 10000 |
Cammy | 10000 |
Lily | 10000 |
Juri | 10000 |
Chun Li | 10000 |
JP | 10000 |
Dee Jay | 10000 |
Manon | 10000 |
Dhalsim | 10000 |
Blanka | 10000 |
Guile | 10000 |
Kimberly | 10000 |
Jamie | 10000 |
Health Pools Of All Characters In Street Fighter 6
Health pools or Health Values are the whole life of your character and determine the maximum damage you can take before getting knocked out. Your HP is displayed on your side at the top of the screen and depletes by taking either direct hits or chip damage after wearing out your Drive Meter.
CHARACTER | MAXIMUM HP |
---|---|
Zangief | 11000 |
Marisa | 10500 |
E.Honda | 10500 |
Ryu | 10000 |
Ken | 10000 |
Luke | 10000 |
Cammy | 10000 |
Lily | 10000 |
Juri | 10000 |
Chun Li | 10000 |
JP | 10000 |
Dee Jay | 10000 |
Manon | 10000 |
Dhalsim | 10000 |
Blanka | 10000 |
Guile | 10000 |
Kimberly | 10000 |

Fighters With 10K Health
Like Street Fighter 5, the standard health pool for most fighters in Street Fighter 6 is 10000. This applies to most characters in the roster, including:
- Ken
- Ryu
- Jamie
- Luke
- Cammy
- Chun Li
- Juri
- Dee Jay
- Lily
- Dhalsim
- Kimberly
- Guile
- Blanka
- Manon
However, while standard, this is also the lowest HP a character can have since the outliers have noticeably higher health pools in SF6. Fortunately, the characters in this category make up for this deficiency by having a broader and more versatile toolset, such as projectiles, which can be utilized during long-range engagements to catch opponents off-guard.
Fighters With 10.5K Health
The first jump comes with a +500 HP bump to 2 brute-like yet projectile-less characters, which include:
- Marisa
- E.Honda
Since both characters don’t have any good alternatives to fullscreen or mid-screen combat, they’re often vulnerable to the aforementioned projectile attacks. And once their Drive Meter runs out, the opponent can spam those attacks to steadily drain you via chip damage, even when you’re blocking.
Fighters With 11K Health
Zangief is the only character with the most amount of HP, a whopping 11000. As a grappler, this brute is mainly viable at close range since his slow walking speed and poor frame data simply can’t compete with other fighters.
-
- Like Marisa and E. Honda, Zangief lacks any projectile attacks in his arsenal, which makes him vulnerable to zoner characters like JP.
- His entire Drive System combat is primarily reserved for grappling, and with this extra 1000 health, he has enough incentive to push himself toward the opponent and use his toolset.
- However, if your opponent is consistently spamming projectiles and staying at a long distance, you can still try to land a perfect parry with Zangief and punish once you successfully do so.
That wraps up this brief guide regarding the different health values in SF6. Street Fighter has always had a history of balancing the roster by giving extra HP to a few characters, specifically characters without projectiles. This makes them less susceptible to dying from chip damage during neutral and encourages a more aggressive playstyle. And with Capcom’s plans to further increase the cast with later updates, as suggested by this Twitter Post, we might see more diversity in HP distribution.
