There are many collectables spread throughout the lands of Hogwarts Legacy. Some of these, such as the Landing Platform locations, are completely unlabelled on the map, making them difficult to find. Others, such as the Daedalian Keys and house tokens, require intricate puzzle-solving to acquire. The astronomy tables and their locations in Hogwarts Legacy are quite similar to such collectables.
The tables are spread throughout Hogwarts and the open world. They appear to be like stone structures, and when you approach them, a telescope opens up, allowing you to solve a constellation-related puzzle. Finding and completing all of the constellations grants you XP and cosmetic awards.
Before You Start: Ensure you’ve completed the Main Quest: Astronomy Class; otherwise, you can’t interact with any Astronomy Tables that you discover in the open world.
There are 15 Astronomy Table Locations in Hogwarts Legacy, accessible after completing the Main Quest: Astronomy Class. Here’s where to find them:
- Phoenix Constellation: Hogwarts
- Centaurus Constellation: San Bakar’s Tower
- Draco Constellation: West Forbidden Forest
- Leo Constellation: Upper Hogsfield

There are a total of 15 Astronomy Tables scattered throughout the game. You can start visiting these Astronomy Tables after completing the Astronomy class as part of the main quests. You’ll visit one during the quest, typically after completing Main Quest 19: Flying Class. It’s recommended to purchase a broom before embarking on your journey to find the Astronomy Tables since they are located in different parts of the map that are difficult to reach on foot.
Hogwarts Astronomy Table Locations
Considering that the class in which we get introduced to the Astronomy Tables is in Hogwarts, one would assume that the first Astronomy Table location that we find in Hogwarts Legacy would be in the castle. However, that is not the case, as you can find a table here yourself.
The Bell Tower Wing – Phoenix
There is only one Astronomy Table in Hogwarts, and that is in the Bell Tower Wing. You can find it near the Hidden Herbology Corridor. You’ll likely need to use your broom to get close to the area. Alternatively, you can reach it by just sticking close to the outer wall. The table will be exactly on the opposite side of the Hidden Herbology Corridor. You can interact with it to unlock the Phoenix constellation. You’ll need to zoom out a bit and rotate slightly clockwise to line up the stars.
North Ford Bog Astronomy Table Locations
There is only one Astronomy Table that can be found in the northern area of the map, North Ford Bog.
San Bakar’s Tower – Centaurus
The Astronomy Tower in North Ford Bog is next to San Bakar’s Tower Floo Flame Location. You likely came here as part of the main quest already, so you’ll likely have the fast travel point unlocked too. The table is Northwest of the fast travel point and southwest of the North Ford Bog fast travel point. But from the San Bakar’s Tower floo flame location, the table can be found by looking directly ahead of you when you spawn in, and on top of a mini hill, at the foot of the tower. The constellation found here will be of Centaurus, and you can align the stars easily by simply zooming out enough and rotating clockwise.Forbidden Forest Astronomy Table Locations
Similar to North Ford Bog, there is only one Astronomy Table in the Forbidden Forest as well. It’s deep within the forest and likely requires you to use your broom to find it with ease.
West Forbidden Forest – Draco
The Astronomy Table is specifically to the southeast of the West Forbidden Forest Floo Flame location. If you haven’t been exploring much, then the marker for the Astronomy Table might not show up, but simply approaching the floo flame location will make it appear. The table is on top of a hill and completely surrounded by trees. The constellation shown in the table is Draco. Simply zoom out and rotate around 90 degrees clockwise to line up the stars and complete the table.Hogsmeade Valley Astronomy Table Locations
Hogsmeade Valley tends to have many collectables as it is quite a large area with multiple settlements. There are many hidden items behind locked doors that require Alohomora, but for our purposes, we’ll only find one Astronomy Table here.
Upper Hogsfield – Leo
The next Astronomy Table is directly west of the Upper Hogsfield floo flame location. It’s only around 60 meters away, and you can come across it by flying west with your broom. Just look out for the hill with the table on it. As there are no obstacles blocking the view, such as trees, you’ll likely spot the table with ease. The constellation sign that you’ll find on this table is going to be Leo. Unlike the previous stars that you’ve aligned, for the following Astronomy Table, you’ll need to rotate counterclockwise, around 90 degrees, and zoom in for the stars to align properly.South Hogwarts Region Astronomy Table Locations
There are two Astronomy Tables that can be found in the South Hogwarts Region. The first one is automatically unlocked after you complete the Main Quest that introduces you to the Astronomy Table.
Forbidden Forest – Scorpio
The other Astronomy Table that is found in South Hogwarts Region can be found directly west of the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame location. We get to visit the Forbidden Forest many times during the main quests, so you’ll likely already have the Floo Flame location unlocked. From the Floo Flame location, cross over the bridge, and you’ll find the table on top of the hill that comes up immediately after the bridge. You can align the stars easily by rotating clockwise and zooming out. The constellation will be Scorpio.Hogwarts Valley Astronomy Table Locations
As Hogwarts Valley is quite a large portion of the map, it’s no surprise that there are two Astronomy Tables that can be found here. In fact, there is quite a strong chance that the tables in the region might be unmarked due to how large it is.
Keenbridge – Capricornus
The first Astronomy Table that can be found in Hogwarts Valley is next to the Keenbridge fast-travel location. From there, you need to head southeast toward a worn-out castle that also happens to have an Ancient Magic Hotspot location near it.The marker for the Astronomy Table in the castle is quite stubborn and doesn’t appear easily until you’re right next to it, so you can use the image above as a reference if you can’t pinpoint the location through your own map.
Once you’re at the location, simply head up with your broom to the top of the castle. Over there, you’ll find a platform with a table on top of it. You’ll need to zoom in and rotate clockwise quite a bit, but once you do, you’ll unlock the Capricornus constellation.Brocburrow – Corvus
The next Astronomy Table in the Hogwarts Valley is near Brocburrow. Similar to the previous table, the marker won’t appear so easily on the map, so you’ll need to be right up to the place to find it. It is found on a hill, which is even marked on the map, south of Brocburrow. Be careful as you land in the area, as some Mongrels might attack you. But, if you’re at a high enough level, a simple Depulso charm should be able to knock them out. Zoom out and rotate counterclockwise to unlock the Corvus constellation.Feldcroft Region Astronomy Table Locations
Feldcroft is the same area where we meet Sebastian Sallow’s sister, Anne, as part of the main quest. In fact, there is even an Astronomy Table quite close to their camp. In total, there are two Astronomy Tables in the area.
South Feldcroft – Horologium
You can find an Astronomy Table exactly north of the South Feldcroft fast-travel location, which is essentially on top of a beach. From the fast travel location, simply head upwards, and you’ll find it on the hill, which is right next to the floo flame location. You’ll likely be able to spot a bunch of floating balloons in the area as well, as shown in the image above. The constellation in this table is Horologium. It can be quite tricky as there are a few shiny stars that aren’t part of the constellation and are there to just throw you off. But if you zoom in and rotate clockwise enough, you’ll be able to line up the stars.North Feldcroft – Lacerta
The next Astronomy Table can be found near the North Feldcroft Floo Flame location. It is west of the location and found near a bunch of small bandit camps and a Merlin Trial as well. There is also a vault in the same area. When you reach the location, you’ll be able to spot a bunch of floating balloons, and the table will be near them on top of a hill. The constellation on the table will be Lacerta. You’ll need to zoom in quite a bit even to spot the stars that you’re trying to align with. But once you’ve zoomed in enough, you need to rotate clockwise just a bit, and it’ll line up.Poidsear Coast Astronomy Table Locations
The Poidsear Coast and the regions beyond it are quite tricky to get to if you’re trying to get there by simply exploring on your own. That is because when you try flying to them, you’ll reach a spot that says you cannot use your mount further. Once that happens, you actually need to find a cave opening in between to get to the Poidsear Coast area.
South Poidsear Coast – Hydra
There is only one Astronomy Table on Poidsear Coast, and that is near the South Poidsear Coast Floo Flame location. As shown on the map above, it is directly southeast of the fast-travel spot and next to some butterflies and a bandit camp. When you reach the location, you’ll find the table on a small hidden hill. A good indicator for the table is a floating balloon which will be right next to the edge of the hill. You’ll need to zoom out quite a bit and rotate counterclockwise to align the Hydra constellation.Marunweem Lake Astronomy Table Locations
Marunweem Lake is quite a tricky area as there are many high-levelled hostiles here. If you’re trying to collect the Astronomy Tables as soon as they become available, then try to be careful of the enemies here, as they can take you out with just a few shots.
Coastal Mine – Canis Major
The Astronomy Table in Marunweem Lake is directly southeast of the Coastal Mine fast-travel spot. In fact, it is near a landing platform, vault, and a Merlin Trial. You’ll find a Thestral Den in the area as well. Head to the location shown on the map; it is almost at the boundary of where you can and cannot use your mount. You’ll also spot balloons in the area, making them easy to find. You’ll need to zoom in and rotate just a bit counterclockwise to unlock the Canis Major constellation.Manor Cape Astronomy Table Locations
Manor Cape is mostly a long island. It doesn’t have that many locations; even the fast travel spots there are limited. But it still has many collectables, such as Demiguise Statues, Infamous Foes, and a bunch of Merlin Trials.
West Manor – Sagittarius
There is only one actual Floo Flame location in Manor Cape that is near the Astronomy Table in Manor Cape. That is the West Manor Cape fast travel spot. You’ll find the Astronomy Table right at the south edge of Manor Cape, on top of a castle. Be careful, as there is an infamous foe and bandit camp nearby. When you reach the area, head to the top of the castle to spot the Astronomy Table through the broken roof. The constellation might seem overwhelming at the start due to how many points there are in it, but if you just zoom out and rotate a bit clockwise, you’ll get the Sagittarius constellation.Clagmar Coast Astronomy Table Locations
Clagmar Coast only has one Astronomy Table. It is the southmost area on the map and is at a higher altitude than its surroundings. The main area is Clagmar Castle, and you’ll find the Astronomy Table near that area.
South Clagmar Coast – Lupus
You can find the Astronomy Table northeast of the South Clagmar Coast floo flame location. It will be near a bunch of Merlin Trials, as shown on the map. Alternatively, you can find the Astronomy Table directly south of the Clagmar Castle. There is a chance that you’ll encounter a level 37 Inferi in the area. You can easily defeat it by using Depulso to push it off the edge of the cliff. You’ll need to zoom in and rotate just a few degrees clockwise to unlock the Lupus constellation.Cragcroftshire Astronomy Table Locations
The final location where you’ll find an Astronomy Table in Hogwarts Legacy is in Cragcroftshire. It is on the southeast edge of the map and has many different collectables to find.
Cragcroft – Cetus
To find the Astronomy Table in Cragcroftshire, head south of the Cragcroft floo flame location. The table will be surrounded by three vaults and is only around 200 meters from the floo flame location. As shown in the map above, it is almost at the edge of the cliffs. When you reach the location, you’ll be able to notice that it is near a landing platform location. As shown in the image above, the landing platform is on the right side. Interact with the table, rotate the constellation a bit clockwise and zoom out to unlock the Cetus constellation.Rewards
After you’ve visited the locations of and aligned the stars for all 15 of the Astronomy Tables in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll be able to claim a bunch of rewards from the Challenges Section. Head to the Challenges section and into the Exploration Challenges to find your rewards. There are different rewards for each tier, and they are as follows:
Tier | Rewards |
Tier 1 (View Constellation from 5 Unique Astronomy Tables) | Starry-eyed Seer’s Scarf |
Tier 2 (View Constellation from 5 Unique Astronomy Tables) | Starry-eyed Seer’s Ensemble |
Tier 3 (View Constellation from 5 Unique Astronomy Tables) | Starry-eyed Seer’s Cape |
These rewards are great and can add value to members of any house in the game. The Astronomy Tables are just a few of the many things that you can do in the game. For example, you can try to collect all of the unforgivable curses, such as Crucio or Imperio, which is acquired through the In The Shadow of Time quest. There are also many explorable easter eggs in the game, such as visiting Azkaban!
With that, you know the locations for every Astronomy Table in the game. They’re spread out across the entire map, so sometimes their marker may not appear, especially if you haven’t uncovered every part of the map. But once you get to the location and align all of the constellations, you’ll get decent amount of XP and worthwhile rewards at the end.
