Monster Hunter Rise: All Voice Actors [Sunbreak Update]

The sixth installment in Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter Rise, is set in the ninja-inspired land of The Kamura Village. You will find many NPCs like Bahari in Monster Hunter Rise with unique personalities and different backgrounds. Since Monster Hunter Rise is available in other languages, these NPCs have both Japanese and English Voice actors. 

Hunter Voice Lines 

As compared to its predecessors, the significant improvement in Monster Hunter Rise and its DLC Sunbreak is the introduction of Hunter voice lines. A Hunter can say many voice lines like “Let’s Go” and “It’s Angry” in Monster Hunter Rise. 

However, if you don’t really like the idea of voice lines in Monster Hunter Rise, you can always turn them off. To turn the voice lines off, simply go to “Options” in the main menu and select “Audio.” Turn the Player Voice Frequency off, and you’re good to go. 

Voice Actors In Monster Hunter Rise  

We will mention the voice actors of both the base game as well as Sunbreak Expansion of Monster Hunter Rise. Moreover, we have also included a list of Hunter voice actors according to voice types.

Base Game Voice Actors 

Following are all the NPCs you will meet in Monster Hunter Rise and their voice actors. 

Fugen, The Elder 

He is the Leader of Kamura Village. He is voiced by the following; 

English Voice Actor  

Chris Tergliafera is the English voice actor of Fugen, the Leader in Monster Hunter Rise. He is very popular for voicing Muhammad Avdol in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Chris also voiced Gundam Tanaka in Danganropa 2 and Ryoma Hoshi in Danganropa 3. The voice actor was also behind the voice of Naganohara Ryuunosuke in Genshin Impact.  

His renowned works include voicing Silva Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter, Tank Top Tiger in One Punch Man, and Yamikaze in Sword Art Online II. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

The Japanese actor in Fugen, the Leader is Takaya Hashi. He is famous for voicing Kakuzu Naruto Shippuden. His renowned works include voicing Bacchus Gill in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Movie. He also voiced Hideo Kageyama in Choudenshi Bioman. 

Takaya Hashi worked in the Japanese dub of Harry Potter, voicing Severus Snape. He also voiced The Owl in Sekiro. 

Hinoa the Quest Maiden 

Hinoa is the handler of Village Quests. Following are her voice actors. 

English Voice Actor  

Maureen Prince is the voice actor of Hinoa the Quest Maiden in Monster Hunter Rise. She voiced Melfonseana in Phantasy Star Online 2 and was behind Louise and Natasha’s voices in Fire Emblem Heroes. 

Her renowned works include voicing Zhuhan in Genshin Impact and Jodie Starling in Detective Conan. She was also the voice behind many characters like Josuke Higashikata in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Maureen also voiced Miyo Inbami in Kakegurui. 

Japanese Voice Actor 

Rina Sato is the Japanese voice actor for Hinoa. She is famous for her role as Sailor Mars in Sailor Moon Crystal. Rina also voiced Eula in Genshin Impact. Her prominent roles include Saki Rindo in Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade and Olivia in Evil Dead. 

Yomogi The Chef 

She is the head of the Canteen in Monster Hunter Rise, and the following are her English and Japanese voice actors. 

English Voice Actor  

The English voice actor of Yomogi The Chef in Monster  Hunter Rise is Erika Harlacher. You might recognize her voice from Ami Kawashima in Toradora, Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter, Violet in Violet Evergarden, and Yumeko from Kakegurui. 

Some of her other works include Elizabeth Liones from Seven deadly sins, Ayesha in Atelier Ayesha, and Ann Tamaki in Persona 5. She was also the voice behind both Kyoko Kirigiri and Kaede Akamatsu in the Danganropa video game series. 

Japanese Voice Actor 

Yomogi the Chef is voiced by Kana Asumi in the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Rise. She has voiced many other notable characters like Felicia in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Arnwal and Ruby in Otomedius Excellent, Chocolat Gelato in Solatorobo, and Lissa in Fire Emblem Awakening. 

Her other recognizable works include voicing Carol in Guilty Crown, Patty in Phantasy Star Online, Karen in Island, and Chacha in Fate Grand Order. 

Hamon The Blacksmith  

Found at Smithy, Hamon is one of the NPCs in Monster Hunter Rise. 

English Voice Actor  

The English voice actor of Hamon is Daman Mills. His most recognizable works include voicing Frieza in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Koga in Paladins, Titus in Borderlands 3, and Weiss in Final Fantasy VII Remake.  

Some of his other works include voicing Ende in Phantom Breaker and Aamon in Mobile Legends. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Makoto Terada was the voice behind Hamon in Monster Hunter Rise. He is famous for voicing other characters like Sigma in Mega Man, Roxian in Lost Odyssey, Zeks in Tale of Hearts, and Hot Coldman in Metal Gear Solid. Some of his other notable roles include voicing Rowen in Tales of Xillia and Nekomata in Nioh. 

Kagero The Merchant  

You will come across Kagero in Market, Melding Pot, and the Lottery. 

English Voice Actor  

Todd Haberkorn voiced Kagero in Monster Hunter Rise. He was also the voice behind Android 19 in Dragon Ball, Yun in Street Fighter IV, Maxim in Lufia, and Meade in Monster Tale. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Yuichiro Umehara was the voice actor behind Kagero in Monster Hunter Rise. His notable works include voicing Ira in Kingdom Hearts, Darach in Pokemon Masters, Raven in Fire Emblem Heroes, and Hijikata in Code Geass. 

Komistu The Sweettooth 

You will see Komitsu selling candy apples in Monster Hunter Rise. 

English Voice Actor  

Laura Stahl was the voice behind Komitsu. She also voiced Vera in Shantae and the Deven Sirens, Lynn in Guardian Tales, Barbara and Xinyan in Genshin Impact, and Shizuka in Phantom Breaker. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Misaki Kuno is the voice actor behind Komitsu. Some of her other works include voicing Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins, Tama in WIXOSS, Shio Kobe in Happy Sugar Life, and Klee in Genshin Impact. 

Minoto The Hub Queen 

The NPC who manages Hub Quests is Minoto.  

English Voice Actor  

Heather Gonzalez is the Voice Behind Minoto. She also voiced Peonia in Pokemon: Twilight Wings, Laura S. Arseid in The Legend of Heroes, and Wild Style Peele in Smite. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Shizuka Ito voiced Minato in the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Rise. She was also the voice behind Vicar in Bloodborne, Tachibana in Nioh, Byleth in Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Schwarz in Arknights. 

Hojo, the Guild Master 

This NPC is the head of the Gathering Hub. 

English Voice Actor  

Lucien Dodge is the voice actor behind Hojo, the Guild Master in Monster Hunter Rise. His other notable works include voicing Simon from Seven Deadly Sins, Pierre Leclerc from MGS Philanthropy, and Waver from Gantz: O. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Kenichi Ogata is the voice behind Hojo in the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Rise. Some of his other works include voicing Hiroshi Agasa in Detective Conan, Analyzer in Space Battleship Yamato, and King Dedede in Kirby. 

Master Utsushi  

He manages Arena Quests and the Challenge Quests. 

English Voice Actor 

Brandon Winckler is the voice actor behind Master Utsushi. His notable works include voicing Eugeo in Sword Art Online and Green Goblin and Miles Morales in Marvel Avengers Academy. 

Japanese Voice Actor 

Kishore Taniyama voiced this NPC in the Japanese version of the game. He also voiced Jean Kirstein in Attack on Titan, Natsuki Shinomiya in Uta No Prince Sama, and Stiyl Magnus in A Certain Magical Index. 

Lori the Buddy Handler 

The NPC provides buddies at the Buddy Plaza.  

English Voice Actor  

Kyle McCarley is the voice actor behind Lori. He also voiced 9S in NieR Automata, Simon in Infinity Train, and Gran in Granblue Fantasy. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Natsuki Hanae voiced Lori in the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Rise. His other works include voicing Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer, Kousei in Your Lie in April, and Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul. 

Rondine, The Trader 

She is the NPC who manages the Argosy.

Katelyn Gault voiced Rondine in Monster Hunter Rise. She also voiced Tanith in Fire Emblem Heroes, Fenneko in Aggretsuko, and Miki Kazama in Japan Sinks. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Yui Ogura was the voice actor behind Rondine in the Japanese version of the game. Her other recognizable works include voicing Toki Onjouji in Saki, Kokonaa Aoba in Encouragement of Climb, and Tsukiko in Henneko.

Fiorayne The Knight 

She is a Knight of the Royal Order. 

English Voice Actor  

Valerie Arem voiced Fiorayne in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Expansion. She also voiced Naoto in Persona 4, Bombshell in Bombshell and Iron Fury, and Morgana in Hack//Sign. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Yui Ishikawa is the voice behind Fiorayne in the Japanese version of the game. Her recognizable works include voicing Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan and Violet in Violet Evergarden. 

Admiral Galleus  

He is the commanding officer at Elgado Outpost. 

English Voice Actor  

Ted Evans is the voice actor behind Galleus. His famous works include voicing Pongo in the Addams Family 2, and he also did additional voices in Incredibles 2. 

Japanese Voice Actor  

Tsuyoshi Koyama voiced Admiral Galleus in the Japanese version of the game. He also voiced Crow in Utawarerumono, Killer Shark in Beast Saga, and Phil Ackman in Turn, A Gundam.

He is the lead scientist of the research team in Elgado Outpost.

She the smithy at Elgado.

Cherami Leigh Voiced Minayle. She also voiced A2 in NieR Automata and Female V in Cyberpunk 2077.

Yui Kondou voiced Minayle. She also voiced Biwa in Umamusume and Yuina in Idol Jihen. 

Oboro The Merchant 

He runs the market at Elgado.
