How To Enter Lost Woods In Zelda TOTK
As I’ve mentioned before, entering the Lost Woods will require us to venture underground, deep into The Depths. Near the Lost Woods, you’ll find a Minshi Woods Chasm, which is the closest chasm to reach the underground area of the Korok Forest or the Lost Woods.
You can easily arrive at this chasm from either the Ekochiu Shrine or the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower.
As soon as the gloom ends after you dive into the chasm, equip your paraglider and start gliding towards the northwest direction until you can spot lightroots between cliffs, as shown in the image above.
- The exact location that you need to arrive at is the Rikonsum Lightroom which is located in The Depths.
- Do not accidentally glide towards the Fire Temple, which is quite near the underground area of the Korok Forest or Lost Woods.
Near the Rikonasum Lightroot, you’ll find a platform on which you can use the Ascend ability to enter the Korok Forest or the Lost Woods.
- As you enter the forest, you’ll see that the Great Deku Tree is consumed by gloom and that none of the Koroks are responding to you.
- Our journey does not end here since we have to save the Great Deku Tree in order to start exploring the Korok Forest or the Lost Woods.
Saving The Great Deku Tree
- You’ll need to enter the Deku Tree Chasm in order to save the Great Deku Tree and heal the forest in Tears of the Kingdom.
- Jump in after you’re prepared to take one of the toughest enemies and a powerful boss additionally.
- Make sure to cook Sundelions and create dishes that reverse the effects of gloom as well.
As soon as you enter the chasm, you’re greeted by the Gloom Hands enemy, which is one of the toughest enemies to beat if you do not know how to approach the battle.
- Stay at range while fighting the Gloom Hands and fight using your best bows additionally.
- Applying the ice effect and bomb flowers to your arrows will make the fight extremely easy.
- Gloom Hands can regenerate as well, so be quick in defeating them.
- Once the hands are defeated, the real boss fight begins.
Phantom Ganon will emerge once the Gloom Hands are defeated. If you die at this point, then the whole battle will restart, and you’ll have to fight the Gloom Hands all over again.
- Phantom Ganon is easier to deal with as compared to the Gloom Hands.
- Just stay at range, and he will mostly follow up with a swipe after running toward you.
- That swipe is easily predictable, and you can dodge it at the right time to create a flurry rush.
- You can deal big damage during that flurry rush, especially if you’re using the Master Sword.
- Once you defeat Phantom Ganon, the Great Deku Tree will be saved in Tears of the Kingdom.
- The Lost Woods or the Korok Forest will be healed, and All shrines in the area can now be explored additionally.
- Another memory can be unlocked if you go and talk to the Great Deku Tree after healing it.
All Lost Woods Shrines In Tears of the Kingdom
There are four shrines in the Lost Woods or the Korok Forest areas of Tears of the Kingdom. One of the shrines requires you to solve puzzles, whereas the other three are tied to shrine quests in Tears of the Kingdom.
Musanokir Shrine
This is the first shrine that you’ll come across in the Lost Woods or the Korok Forest. It is located right next to the Great Deku Tree, and you will need to solve the puzzle inside in order to claim the Light of Blessing.
- After entering the shrine, use Ultrahand to join the platform with the cube in order to get across the gap.
- Then join the cube with the chain and pull the chain backward so it hits the target when released.
- After the target is hit, a locked door will open inside the shrine.
Before solving the second puzzle, join the cube and the log as shown to reach the treasure chest inside the shrine.
- Next, join the cube to the chain below the sliding platform and the log in front of the platform.
- Pull the cube back again and release, which will give momentum to the whole build, and it will hit the second target.
- Another door will open up inside the shrine, which will lead you to the Light of Blessing.
Sakunbomar Shrine
The second shrine involves solving a shrine quest to unlock it. The Korok who assigns you the quest is located on the west side of the Great Deku Tree.
After accepting the quest, follow the path behind the Korok that assigns you the quest. Reach the end of the path until you arrive at a Stone Talus boss fight. Follow the Blue Nightshade flowers, which will lead you to the Stone Talus.
- Defeat the Stone Talus to obtain the green crystal on its head.
- Carry that green crystal in the direction where the light beam points.
- The exact location has also been marked on the image above.
- Once you carry the crystal to the location, the shrine will become available to enter.
- Inside the Shrine, you’ll find a treasure chest and another Light of Blessing.
Pupunke Shrine
The third shrine is also locked behind a shrine quest which can be activated after talking to another Korok located on the east side of the Great Deku Tree.
- The Korok will ask for five golden apples that he will trade for the green crystal.
- The green crystal is essential to unlocking the third shrine.
If you don’t have golden apples, then go to the location shown in the image above.
- Follow the path behind the Korok that gives you the shrine quest of getting the apples.
- Keep following the path and the lights to reach the trees with the golden apples in Mido Swamp.
- Ignore fighting any enemies, and just run your way here.
- After obtaining five golden apples, trade them for the green crystal.
Carry the green crystal to where its beam points or the location shown in the image above to unlock the Pupunke Shrine in the Lost Woods. There are no puzzles inside the shrine, and you’ll find a treasure chest and a Light of Blessing in there.
Ninjis Shrine
The final shrine in the Lost Woods area is also tied to a shrine quest. Go and talk to the Korok at the location marked in the image above in order to activate the quest. This final shrine is only approachable from the sky islands as you’ll have to glide your way here. You can not arrive at the shrine by traveling through the forest.
Use the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower to reach the maximum possible height in the sky. Then glide your way to the shrine quest objective marker. Use the sky islands in between to regenerate your stamina if you run out additionally.
- Once you get closer to the objective marker, you’ll start seeing the shrine from the sky.
- Just dive towards it, and you’ll be able to enter the shrine once you reach the ground.
- There are no puzzles inside the shrine, and you’ll get another treasure chest and a Light of Blessing.
