Bloodstained Dagger with a pretty standard look resembles a machete and has a one-sided bevel to it which curves up slightly at the end. Moreover, its stats are excellent with a maximum attack power of 563, and an average Guarded Damage Negation of 23, and is yet another of the best early game daggers in Elden Ring that comes from loot drop.
Therefore, if you want to pick up this dagger you head over to the Weeping Peninsula, crossing the bridge to get to the Erdtree and kill the Demi-human Chief standing which is not very hard to get this knife. So Bloodstained Dagger is quite simple and straightforward to acquire this dagger early in Elden Ring.

Crystal Knife, which is the most famous dagger in Elden Ring, has extra magic damage stats and is perfect for the best mage build in Elden Ring. So if you are looking for a dagger that deals extra damage then the Crystal Knife, the best one in Elden Ring then Crystal Knife is the right choice.
Crystal Knife can be found in the chest inside the Raya Lucaria Crystal tunnel, in a storage area three levels down where there’s going to be a bunch of Marionettes around which is not actually that hard to get to because marionettes are decently easy to take care of.

Misericorde is the best-looking dagger in the Elden Ring. It’s got the long slender design that would actually make it a really good dagger and does have actually pretty good damage stats. The reason I believe Misericorde is the best early-game dagger in Elden Ring is that the weapon can be located pretty early.
To locate it, you have to head over to Stormville Castle, and then loot Misericorde off a corpse which will be in a large Armory room next to the fortress. Moreover, you will actually need a Stone Sword Key to insert into an Imp Statue that removes the White Fog door.
5. Reduvia

Those seeking critical hit potential may find the Reduvia build and the weapon itself to be the best Dagger in Elden Ring.
There are two ways to get this either through player invasions or right over at the Murkwater cave the closest one to the Gate Front ruins at the Church of Elleh, where you will also find a Sacred Tear.
Moreover, Reduvia has a couple of advantages as a good stabbing weapon with a special ability if you want to range attack enemies with it, which is quite useful in frontal assaults.
4. Scorpion’s Stinger

Attack Phy | 79 |

Scorpion Stinger is probably the most dangerous weapon in the Elden Ring which is also quite rare and unique. As Scorpion’s Stinger is quite rare, the dagger cannot be purchased and certainly not a random drop.
To locate this dagger, you have to go to the underground region below Liurnia which you can find by completing a quest line which is Ranni’s quest, then get over to the Nokstella Waterfall Basin making your way through to the Lake of Rot. Ultimately, after crossing the lake full of Scarlet Rot, for which you will need berries, you will find Scorpion’s Stinger.
3. Black Knife

Scaling | Str E, Dex D, Faith D |
Requires | Str 8, Dex 12, Faith 18 |
One of the hardest enemies to defeat in Elden Ring is The Black Knife Assassins and their weapon of choice is Black Knife which is as lethal as them but worth the effort if you are planning to get a dagger build. However, Black Knife requires high Dexterity and Faith to acquire but highly effective Holy and Physical damage, even punches through the armor.
Moreover, its special Weapon Art, Blade of Death, fires a projectile that swiftly drains enemies’ health and gives plenty of range. The disadvantage of Black Knife is that it’s a bit slow with its Weapon Art which compromises your defense as well as your offense against aggressive opponents, especially in Boss fights.
Black Knife can be obtained at the entrance of Sainted Hero’s Grave by killing the Black Knife Assassin.
2. Glintstone Kris
Stat | Value |
---|---|
Attack Phy | 57 |
ATK Mag | 68 |
Crit | 110 |

Fire | 14 |
Light | 14 |
Holy | 14 |
Boost | 15 |
Scaling | Str E, Dex D, Int D |
Requires | Str 5, Dex 12, Int 16 |
Glintstone Kris is quite a versatile dagger in both short and medium range requiring 5 Strength, 12 Dexterity, and 16 Intelligence to utilize well, scaling mostly from your Dexterity and Intelligence. Glintstone Kris cannot be infused with Ashes of War or Consumable and can only be upgraded by Somber Smithing Stones.
Moreover, Glintstone Kris is only awarded to players completing the Sorceress Sellen quest line.
1. Cinquedea
Stat | Value |
---|---|
Attack Phy | 98 |
Crit | 100 |
Guard Phy | 43 |
Mag | 25 |
Fire | 25 |
Light | 25 |
Holy | 25 |
Boost | 18 |
Scaling | Str D, Dex E |
Requires | Str 10, Dex 10 |
The Cinquedea has the most base damage out of all daggers in the Elden Ring. The dagger is one of the most useful daggers to utilize even for strength users, just requiring 10 Strength and 10 Dexterity. Unfortunately, one of the downsides of this dagger is that you can’t add Ashes of War to Cinquedea to further enhance the dagger. Only the skill Quickstep, which is already equipped, is available.
Cinquedea does, however, give a more damage bonus than Bestial Incantations. Moreover, players can defeat enemies off-guard in PvP by using this dagger as most incantations do most of the damage with an additional option to use Bestial Incantation.
My Take On The Best Daggers In Elden Ring
Daggers are ideal weapons for quick recovery and status build, but where they lack is damage. That is why I strongly recommend Reduvia and Black Knife if you want to main daggers. The reasoning behind this is solely because of their Ashes of War. Reduvia allows the player to throw blood projectiles, while Black Knife can throw Black Flame, and both inflict the enemy with some of the most devastating effects in the game.
However, a Parrying Dagger is also an excellent weapon for parrying enemy attacks if you use it off-hand. It’s not as safe as the shield but its parrying windows make it ideal for parry-based combat, so Parrying Dagger is also a good choice in that regard.
In conclusion, Elden Ring features some of the best fighting moments ever, and your knowledge plays a big part in those. As a result, this guide provides all the information necessary about Daggers in the Elden Ring that gaming enthusiasts might find useful. Moreover, the choice of Daggers in the guide is subjective and may vary from player to player.
