Sony’s Secret Studio maybe Working on a New Uncharted game

Uncharted Series is probably one of the best PlayStation games ever made. The games have again and again brought people back to the PlayStation. Uncharted 4 was the series finale and probably one of the best looking games to grace the PS4. Naughty Dog released Uncharted Lost legacy after the Uncharted 4, but the story of everyone’s favorite protagonist Nathan Drake ended with the Uncharted 4: A Theif’s end.

Two years ago, Sony secretly laid the foundations for a new first-party studio called Visual Arts Studio Group in San Diago. According to the job listings posted, it was supposedly working on a AAA title for Sony. Since then, many artists and developers that have worked in the development of Uncharted and The Last of Us series have been joining the studio.

More recently, Zak Oliver, the environment artist who has worked in both Naughty Dog releases for PS4, has joined the new studio. According to Push Square, the studio has been staffing heavily for the past two years. Most of the members of the staff are individuals who have worked on previous Sony first-party titles, mainly the Uncharted series.

The creative director of Uncharted Series has already shown interest in making a new game earlier this year. He said, “We made Uncharted 4, and we haven’t made another uncharted since. Maybe we will, we’ll see”. The game (if true) will probably be a spin-off title, or it may commence a new story altogether. The only thing that can be said with certainty is that Nathan Drake will not be the lead protagonist of the game. Players could follow the adventures of his daughter, or we may see Victor Sullivan in his prime who knows.

Lastly, it is too early to even comment on the authenticity of the leak. We’ll have to wait for at least one year to see what the studio offers.
