Since the PS5 “Future of gaming event,” the ongoing console war amped up with more and more people commenting on the designs, games, and the services of both PS5 and Xbox Series X. The event surely turned the tides in favour of Sony. The company was employing a very secretive approach while Microsoft was heavily marketing its services and the whole product that is the Xbox Series X. Moreover, the May event hosted by Microsoft was not well received by the gaming community in general.
There was no news from Xbox in June, but reports point towards an unfortunate delay of the Xbox Series S console reveal due to E3’s cancellation. More on it here. Now, Microsoft is gearing towards its July event, which will have the first-party games developed by Microsoft Studios. The event will be the product of around two years of acquisition of game studios and the development of games by Microsoft Studios.
Xbox First-Party Titles
So far, Microsoft has avoided sharing any details about the date and timings of the event; however, reports suggest that it will take place on July 23. According to Gamespot, the date of the event could change depending on how things unfold.

The most anticipated showcase of the event is going to be the Halo infinite gameplay. At the same time, other studios like Playground games (the Forza Series Developer). The new studio the Initiative may also have games to display. Playground Games is reportedly working on the revival of the famous Fable series, while the Initiative is reportedly working on a new entry in the Perfect Dark games.
